You may have a universal keyless from clicker or liftmaster. The 0 button acts as an enter button. Type your code then press 0.

If your keypad doesn't have the enter button it is an earlier model and will not work with what you have now. You will need to call your Liftmaster dealer to get the latest model.

I have a sears craftsman keypad that i am trying to reprogram to work on my garage door. how do you reprogram the keypad to be compatable

If you have the correct keypad for your opener all you have to do is this:

Locate the smart/learn button on the end of your motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.

I programmed 2 new remotes with no issue but, cannot get the remote keypad to reprogram (we just bought the home and don't know the existing code) the model for the garage door opener is Chamberlain...

Your keypad may be bad. If you press and immediately release the smart/learn button and then key in your 4 digit code and press enter the keypad should be working. Be sure you have a good battery. Actually the flashing of the keypad is indicating that it is sending the signal to the receiver. Holding the enter button in doesn't do anything extra.

I want to re-program my keyless garage door.

Mulleta,

If you look on the back or side of the garage door opener you will see a small square red/orange button.
Push the button one time, and you will see an amber LED come on. Go to your keypad enter a four digit (of your choice) then press and hold the the enter button until the garage door opener light flashes and you hear a clicking sound. You can release the enter button and it will be reprogramed.

To program the keypad, you will have to press the LEARN button on the back of the garage door opener console and when it begins to flash, enter a new 4 digit code on your keypad and press enter. You should hear a click and see the lights on the opener flash.

Craftsman 1245LM reprogram

The keypad outside has manuals online that you could use, but for simplicity, Have someone go to that back of the machine and press the "Learn" button, once its is pressed, the yellow light should blink. Enter a new code (4digit) into the keypad and press the enter button. You should then hear a click and the lights on the machine should flash. That will program your keypad.
