Tip

Make Firefox Faster To Load Pages

Here's something for broadband people that will really speed Firefox up:

1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages MUCH faster now!

Why is there a delay in loading websites when using an ethernet connection to my router??

Hello,
There will always be some kind of delay, though it shouldn't be real noticeable as your requests get routed. You may have a bad network cable that is dropping packets. Make sure you are not running your network cable along side power cords for more then a couple feet. This can really mess up data transfer and speed.
There are updates for the firmware to your router. Make sure you are running the latest. http://www.asus.com/Networks/WiFi_Networking/RTN13U/#download
Don't forget to backup your settings before updating the firmware.
Cheers Chris

Type "about:config" in the address bar when the settings load right click anywhere on the screen and new then click intergar the name will be "Nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and the vaule will be "0" click ok... That should help if not than you may need to uninstall and reistall firefox.... This isn't realative for your problem but you can also speed up your broswer by scrolling down to "network.http.piplining" and make the value true... then below it where is says "networking.http.piplining.maxrequest" Change the 4 to an 8!

Inative sim when i turn my phone its a w995

you can try the SIM card in another phone this will help to establish if its a phone fault causing a problem this may be a network delay rather than a fault. When we register a SIM card on the network they normally come on within minutes but sometimes there's a slight delay and at the moment we are experiencing some network delays. It could take up to 24 hours to register your new SIM but I'd recommend running a hard reset now and then:

  • With the phone switched on take the battery cover, battery and SIM card out of the phone
  • Replace the battery cover and battery without the SIM and switch on
  • Once the phone has fully loaded switch off the conventional way
  • Reinsert the SIM card.hope this helps

Hi,
what this looks like is a case of intermittent signal
call ur ISP have them run a line test
if you have purchesed a service that is better than the basic
what could be happening is that the line capacity is to high
(trying to push 100 gal. of H2O in a 1 IN. pipe in 1 sec. cant happen
i work for att. tech. support and sometimes incrising ur speed package will make ur internet sluggish

most routers dont go bad i belive its a line issue
