Is the clock set to auto and not manual? Is the clock display flashing? If so then set to manual, this should do the trick

Put in a new ignigter for the oven. the ignigiter lits up but the oven doesnt light its a GE gas oven. the top range is fine and the broiler works fine

If you don't hear/smell gas when the ignitor is lit, then the gas valve is stuck. Tap on the gas valve (I usually use my 10" Knipex pliers). Be careful not to touch any electrical contacts and not to cause gas leaks. If not sure - use something made of plastic. ;)

We have a GE gas oven/stove top and the stove top is lighting as well as the broiler but we can not get the oven to heat up. What do you suggest we try?

i just moved and our stove in the new place doesnt bake things right. it seems that the top coil doesnt come on. its very difficult to bake anything. seems to come up to temp for pre heating, but only the bottom coil comes on. If you put it on broil, then the top coil gets hot. that works fine. tired of burning pizzas and biscuits. can anyone help with a cheap fix? dont have alot of cash.

Oven wont light

Check the amp draw on the ignitor. If 2.9 amps or less, replace the ignitor. If 2.9 amps or more, replace the gas safety valve.

Oven pilot light won't light

Part of the problem was my own ignorance about this particular Kenmore gas oven. It doesn't even have a pilot light. Instead, there is an electric heating element close to the burner which gets so hot that it ignites the gas. It seems that the heating element also doubles as a temperature sensor, so that it opens the gas valve only when the heating element is hot enough to ignite the gas. This heating element, called the "ignitor", no longer gets hot in my oven even though there is 120VAC applied to it when the oven knob is turned on. Therefore, the ignitor is defective. I ordered a new one on-line from "Appliance Parts of America" for $31.50 plus shipping, and this should fix the problem. If it does NOT, I'll add to this post.
