I was having this same problem with this same model. I would turn it on, the green light would blink a few times, then it would go into standby. After repeating this 10-15 times it would finally turn on. I called customer service and they said to try resetting the TV by unplugging it for 30 minutes. If that didn't work, they said to call a service center to see if they could figure it out.

Well I unplugged it for 30 minutes, plugged it in, turned it on and Whalla! It works! I am so glad it wasn't something else.

I have a SYLVANIA LC195SL9A flat screen TV that has suddenly lost picture; audio comes through fine.

This is a fairly old model flat screen. I would venture a guess that the back light circuit bit the dust. Try the "flashlight test". With the set on, and tuned to a channel that you know has reception, shine a flashlight at the screen at various angles and look to see if you can see a very faint picture image on the screen. If so, the back light is gone. As old as your set is, I would recommend a new one rather than repairs.

My sylvania lc320sl1 won't turn on, the power light is red, blinks in green, but does not turn on. What should I do?

I followed what Bob Newell posted and it worked. i had the same problem with the TV not wanting to turn on. after i installed the update it works fine and turns on every try.

to install the update you have to turn the TV on so keep trying till it does. took me about 20 tries pushing the front panel power button, once it powers on the install will auto start and just let it do its thing.

Can I program a universal remote for a Sylvania 19" TV Model 6419TD?

I have an RCA Universal Remote Control for replacing 4 remotes and it lists 12 different codes for Sylvania TVs. As far as I know they don't usually list them by model number. There is also a site called where I found two generic remotes for your model and each of them was listed at around $18.00 American. I'm not sure what the cost of universal remotes in your area are but, if I were you I think I would also consider that.

I have a 19 inch Sylavnia HDTV (Model #LC195SL9 B - 120 V~60Hz 55W) and have had it less than a year. All of a sudden the TV will not go into standby mode and the TV appears "ON" all the time. I do not get...

Sylvania 6419TE

The issue is the powerboard is not going into staby mode, unfortunatly this will need repair if its under warranty this repair would be covered. Now there is no real issue here if it does not go into standby but to save on those eletricty bills i would simply unplug it anyhow. The issue and reason why products have a stamdby mode is for auto timers and record timers things like that. What happends is the power supply inside is not going into its standby mode and the reason behind this is a defective relay.

I could get techincal and down to componet level but I will loose you in the tech mist. Quite simple here get it repaired or deal with it until it finally goes out. The power supply is on its last leg.
