SOURCE: Denon PMA-520 amplifier clicking noise

Sounds to me like a bad capacitor, but not sure. I would look inside for any slightly bulging capacitors or capacitors whose plastic wrappings have melted or shrunk or cracked (most caps are cylindrical). Please unplug first and be careful inside there and do not touch anything. I actually came across your post while looking for info on what I think is the same amp my brothers had but blew, and I was going to ask if they still had it so I could repair it. I've been very successful at repairing my electronic equipment such as Altec Lansing Model 95 speaker crossovers, power supply in Emu Emax II, and almost everything else in my studio.

SOURCE: Deneon PMA-250 amplifier -Volume knob not working correctly

Well, it seems you have your finger on the source of the problem. If accessible, try some tuner cleaner inside the potentiometer.

SOURCE: Denon PMA 700 AE maximum phono input signal

Why? Are you contemplating connection of something OTHER THAN A PHONO CARTRIDGE to it?

Be advised, only a phono cartridge should be connected to a Phono input. There's more going on behind it than just voltage step-up.

SOURCE: Denon pma 250SE phono problem

Denon PMA 250SE does not have a RIAA phono preamp.

for some info about these preamp and details here;

Phonopreamps.com Home Page

Note: Choose a better quality regulated power supply,

for these preamps.

Although an updated turntable with USB can be used

without the need of such RIAA phono preamp.

I have just purchased a belt drive turntable and want to play vinyl through the s-302. I've connected the phono leads to the aux3 connection but the sond is not loud enough. Can you advise whether I n

Yes you need a RIAA preamplifier for magnetic phonograph cartridges. It connects between the turntable outputs and the AUX (or any other) input of your AV receiver. The only other way to make it work properly is to get a receiver or amplifier with a Phono input.

Hi, i have a Denon PMA 735 R amplifier which shuts down when volume increases suddenly.

Sounds like you have output transistor problems. Does it have a red protection light that comes on when it shuts down? If it does it will need serviced.

How do i assign a record player to ''aux ''input terminals of a denon avr 1507 amplifier

Depends on the record player (turntable). If it's old-school it will need a PHONO preamplifier to raise the level and frequency-balance the output according to the RIAA curve. Otherwise it will be uselessly low in volume and tinny sounding.

Phono preamps are available at a lot of electronics stores online. Google it. If you have an old school receiver with a PHONO function you could use IT for the TT and send its output to the Denon.

If it's a newer TT it may have its own internal (selectable) preamp. Then it would drive any standard Line Level audio input.

Not a good sound

you can't...the technics need to be pluged into phono..because the signal has to be amplified for it to play...phono channels on amps and dj mixers have an amp built in....
