Hi if it stop when the trigger is pulled the issue is with the motor.
stopping is caused by , low revs on motor or low compression or poor spark, sometimes faulty carby.
change spark plug , adjust valve ( when valve has some slight side movment it is ok if up and down , it should be tighter (valves usually under side cover near top ) increase revs a little ( make sure revs dont get rough when running high) set max revs to when the engine still runs smoothly at max.

I had this same problem. My "fix" was unbelievably simple. I did not know a pressure washer lube existed. I bought some of the lube at Lowe's and forced the lube through pressure washer. The lube freed the valve and we haved lived happily ever after. FWIW, it seemed obvious to ne the valve was stuck. It was.

Craftsman 2200PSI pressure washer, part #580.752700 dies when trigger off.

NEVER start an engine on a power washer with pump attached. You will damage pump and get no or very little pressure. Replacing pump only fix. Pump for this washer about $49. Check spring on carb for throttle open/close

My honda xr2600 pressure washer stops running when i pull the trigger

check for a blocked main jet in the carby
the principle is that when the trigger is released there is no pressure in the pump so the engine is idling
when the trigger is pulled the pressure control valve closes the bypass back to the pump and so the motor is loaded up if there is a problem in the carby ,then the motor will stall

Pressure Washer

any leaks from connection at pump to gun and wand assembly if so the valve is detecting leakage and open up again without u squeezing trigger it builds up in the head.if your trigger gun is leaking internally then you will need to replace the gun this unit uses a trap pressure unloader valve

Erratic starting circular saw

Sounds to me like you have a bad cord. Clamp the saw to a workbench so that it can start and run safely without you having to hold it. Put tape or a wire tie around the trigger to hold it in. THEN plug it in. Then move the cord around, especially near where it enters the saw. If the saw starts and stops intermittently you have confirmed the bad cord. Good luck.

Pressure washer starts fine and sprays fine but will not continue to idle after nozzle trigger is let go. Have to have trigger pulled to start & cannot let go without unit stopping.

The pressure unloader us usually the first part/s that fail. An unloader can fail resulting in no or very low pressure or good pressure, however will not unload when trigger is released and stall the motor. Look at breakdown for your pump and determine if unloader parts are available and reasonable. If too costly to replace these parts then install an ez start valve to help start engine and tie back wand handle to deal with unloader problem (workaround). Ez start valve can be seen here:
http://www.cmcpwe.com/accessorystartvalve.html

When not in use, store washer with oil in pump to displace the water. The oil will help lube internal parts and possibly cause the unloader to begin working (if stuck due to debris/rust). You can find a gizmo to help you feed oil into pump on ebay /other web locations. Good luck with your repair.

When the trigger is off the motor stops and starts in quick succession until the trigger is pulled again

When the trigger is off your pump is overloading your engine this would be because the unloader is not doing its job try and change the pressure output of the pump this may unstick the unloader if not it may have to be taken apart.

Wire is jamed about 14" in the feed HOW can I get it out tanks

Hi there,

Happens sometimes when you're pushing on a rope.
I'm assuming a new spool has just been mounted.

You will need lineman pliers or some other type of heavy duty grippers

  • Release the drive wheels
  • Pull it back out from the spool side by manually turning the reel
  • Snip the end of the wire if it is at all bent.
  • Lay the feed hose out in a fairly straight line
  • Re-engage the drive wheels
  • Pull the feed trigger until the wire either makes it through or stalls
  • If it stalls, release the trigger and use the pliers to work the wire back and forth until the it clears the snag area. Try not to twist or kink the wire
  • Repeat the procedure until the wire has made it all the way through
That's about it

Best regards
Mike
