Help! Clinking noise from underneath truck

We are driving home from West Virginia right now and my 01 Denali AWD is having a hard time. (pulling a camper) too. Symptoms: consistent clunking noise from underneath the car when gas is applied. Dont know if its transfer case or something else. I just put in a new used transfer case back in August.

As far as noise goes, bad u-joints usually click or squeek. On the other hand, bad CV joints CLUNK - often loudly. Suspect one or both of the outer fronts.

Sounds like the universal joints might need replacing. they're the "X" looking piece that are at either end of the drive shaft..especially where the drive shaft meets the transmission. have you had your transmission fluid and filter changed?

Yes. Does not seem to be the transmission. I can feel it consistantly while we are driving. We checked the u joints before we left because of a clunk sound we were hearing when if you accelerated to quick.
