I have had this problem take you drivers door put your key and un-lock from the out side with key (NO) then open the door push un-lock from the inside button and then set from you remote and it should set if not push un-lock then lock and then do the un-lock with the key. Let me know if that works. what my car did was locked from the inside and I had the problem were it would not work till I un-locked from the out side plus I had to go to radio shack and change the battery from the control.
Hope good happens.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU MIGHT WANT TO REPROGRAM THAT KEYLESS ENTRY FOB.. JERRY
. Turn the ignition to ACC or ON and the radio to off. Do not crank the engine.
2. Press and hold the DISP button on the radio for at least five seconds until settings is displayed.
3. Press the SEEK up or down arrows until FOB PROG appears on the display.
4. Press the PREV or NEXT button to enter the submenu. The current selection will have an
asterisk next to it. BEGIN will be displayed.

Check the #15 fuse in fusebox behind marked panel on left lower dash just below and left of steering column. This is only a 5 amp fuse but it controls a lot. This fixed our 2001 Expedition. 25 cents.

I have checked the wiring at the back of both switches wih a test light i do have power going to both swiches on the solid red wire. The remote fob and code entry also do not work.Only way into truck is with the key.
I have not had any responses as of yet and recieved an e-mail from fixya to possibly add more detail's.I don't know what to add but just to say the lock's started working again suddenly as of today still baffled thinking it could be a bad wire somwhere any help would be apreciated.
