"FF" or a blinking light will display meaning “Fault Found”. The “fault” is in the amount of power available to the blanket, mattress pad or throw.
There are several causes to this problem: 1. Bedding product is plugged into an extension cord, surge protector, power strip, or not plugged into a direct wall outlet. 2. Bedding product wasn't plugged in properly.
To FIX this problem, do the following to reset your bedding product:
1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical connection. 2. Unplug the cord from the actual bedding product itself. 3. Re-plug the cord into the bedding product. Make sure the connection is secure and complete. 4. Re-insert power cord back into a wall outlet.
If the 4 steps above are not followed in order, the bedding product will not properly reset.
no batteries ! works by just heating the base element which then retains the heat simply by virtue of it's materials and mass.
the sparking sounds like a short in the circuitry or element. If so, no replacement parts or service is available that I have found yet. I own one too, and have been looking for a while ! mine still works but I need some cosmetic parts. If you are interested in selling to me for parts, please contact me @ firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks!
