Question about Samsung Galaxy Cell Phones

1 Answer

Mm#6 error Hi, I recently unlocked a Galaxy s2 SGH 1777. It was successful in the sense I could insert a new SIM card without it barring me from starting the phone, I do end up getting an error when inserting the new SIM, "Phone Not Allowed MM#6". Does anyone know what that means? I inserted a Ufone SIM and while it doesn't give me the error, it doesn't connect to the ufone network either. I'm mostly curious to know if this is a defect in the phone, network, or the unlocking procedure. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Do you want to use your BSNL SIM card on your Samsung Galaxy S2 which was from any foreign country? If so, first ensure that the device is free from network restriction. My Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9000 doesn't read my SIM Card

Can't figure out exactly what the problem is. Try with the following methods.
1) The SIM card might be damaged. To check this, Try inserting the SIM card into any other active network free phone. If it doesn't work then sure the SIM card is damaged. If it works fine then the SIM card is in good condition.
2) The SIM port on your phone might be damaged. Try inserting any other active SIM card to it. If it doesn't work, then sure the SIM port is damaged. If it work fine, Then the SIM port is in good condition.
3) The phone might be network locked. If the phone doesn't allow any network SIM cards to work with it except any one specific SIM card, Then it is sure network locked. You can unlock a Samsung Galaxy S2 safer and easier using unlock code. You can get the unlock code for a Samsung Galaxy S2 from ProUnlocking.Com at affordable cost with easy unlocking guide. Good luck.

PUK is a safety code of your SIM card. It has nothing to do with your phone. You need to look for the envelope / bag / box that your SIM came with.

Mm#6 error on samsung galaxy s2

That means your phone is sim locked by the carrier due to either being black listed or your phone emei is messed up.
First take your sim card and use it with an other unlocked phone and if it works, the issue is with your phone, you need to unlock it so it would accept other carriers.
