Wake up monitor

Hi! My HP tft7600 kvm console wokrs OK, but sometimes, about once a week, it shows nothing on the screen when you unfold it - as if VGA cable is not connected. The only thing that helps - unplugging and then plugging supply power. Are there any other tips - hot heys, etc. ? Thank you for your help!

SOURCE: Screen goes blank

Hi jkm007, Sounds like the back light inverter board is bad. It's a very common problem. LCD's use four small cold compact fluorescent bulbs to back light the display. (thats what gives the LCD it's brightness allowing you to see it) The inverter board runs these lights and when they go bad they will typically show symptoms like you have or the monitor power light comes on and you have either no display or a very dim display. If you ever have one that has no display but the power light is on you can check by shining a flashlight directly into the LCD from the front (right into the screen) if you can see an image then it's either the inverter board (most likely) or the CCFL bulbs have gone bad. The inverter board and CCFL's are replaceable. Good Luck, El Duderino

SOURCE: check signal message when data cable unplugged. blank screen when data cable plugged

This problem is most likely to be caused by a bent or broken pin on the CRT video cable at the VGA connector, OR, this could also be caused by a damaged VGA connector on the back of the laptop. If neither VGA connector is at fault, the problem could be caused a damaged (kinked) CRT data cable, or internal damage to the VGA connector on the back of the laptop, though I suspect the problem is more likely to be external, and you probably won't have to disassemble the laptop to locate the culprit...

SOURCE: supplying power to the monitor to get it to work

I think what you need is a "D" shell connector.. see if the one that fits your PC Power Supply will fit into the Monitor.. if so then purchase another the same. It's called a "D Shell" Power Cord.

Screen not working

First the graphics card needs to be checked, hook a spare monitor to the video output on the back, if normal! LCD display defective and must be replaced, however if the same issue is on the spare monitor the motherboard will probably be needing replacement because most graphics cards are built in.

How to connect my lcd kvm and make it display on sreen

You question is unclear. Please specify the makes and model of all devices. I typically use Rackmount Monitor Keyboard combos with integrated KVM Switches for larger server applications. I have used quiet a few units from KVMSwitchTech and they work pretty well.

I have connected my monitor to a kvm switch but it displays nothing on screen...please help

If you are getting no video then either the KVM Switch is not transmitting video or the cable is defective. I would recommend checking with the supplier of the KVM Switch you are using.

When opened, the HP TFT7600 displays "PC entering power saving mode" and the screen goes blank.

disconnect all the cables except the power cable and then turn the monitor on you would see a test screen if it still happens your monitor is faulty and better buy a new one as repairing is usually expensive .

HP Pavillion won't bring monitor back from sleep mode

hi...if u can read " no input signal" from ur screen, this means that ur monitor is ok..
Look if u have power buttons on ur keyboard.. try to wake it from there.. some pc may have shortcut keys to bring back the pc... look @ ur pc docs on the internet for more info...
However if it's a hardware issue, it may be that ur RAM memory needs to be cleaned

We have just installed 2 x new HP KVM switches (main port 16 connects to A port on secondary switch) with HP TFT7600 rack mount monitor and keyboard. Issue is we cannot connect to Servers on secondary...

Try swapping the switches over, your second switch box may be faulty.

You could also check the ips to make sure u have no conflicts.

post back what you find. thanks

I cannot unfold the base of my HP w1707 LCD Monitor, i dont want to force it but i dont see a release lever either.

Here is a link to the setup poster that shows the base unfolding:

The key is turning the monitor counter-clockwise on the base. Then you can tilt the screen up.
