The red light on the motherboard is flashing

Remove any drives and then power on, if nothing displays, replug your memory card,processor and dedicated video card if there is any. Lastly reset your bios, just remove the button shape battery and then place it back.

Good luck!

Thanks for using Fixya.

42PFL5332D/37 does not turn on red light flashes 6 times.

Don't have a "solution" yet, but found this table that decodes the blinks:

Error Code Table

0 = No error
1 = X-ray protection, E/W protection, and/or Vertical protection active
2 = High beam current protection active
3 = Reserved
4 = +5V protection active
5 = Signal Processor (IC 7150) register corrupted
6 = Signal Processor (IC 7150) error
7 = Total failure
8 = Internal RAM error (Microprocessor IC 7000)
10 = NV memory (IC7088) addressing error
11 = NV memory (IC7088) size error
12 = Histogram (YUV) (IC 7770) error
14 = Sound processor I²C error (TDA9855)
16 = Main Tuner I²C error (IC 1125)
17 = PIP Processor I²C error (IC 7350)
18 = PIP Tuner I²C error (IC 1127)

I, too, have the 6 blinks of a red light. I found another person online that suggested that perhaps the power cord was "defective" as it's a common issue. I replaced the power cord with one from an old computer (they're the same cord) and it seems to be OK now. That's all I can offer you at this time.

Is my Fujitsu Plasmavision "dying"? Same problem

See Fixya Tip and Tricks 'Fujitsu P42HHA30ES 42 in'.

This is a common problem with these models.
Information provided should enable problem to be readily repaired at minimum cost.
Flashing red is an alarm code from the processor only. Indicates a monitored fault by the processor - is of no danger of causing further damage.

Blank Display, using exernal monitor, can see display info w/flashlight, display flashes light at startup

You could have a defective screen - a defective inverter or a CCFL lamp.
To determine if you have a LCD screen or video card problem, read this and follow the instructions.

Defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom:

  • Screen flashs on red/pink and off.
  • Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal.
  • Picture flickering with dim display.
  • Picture flickering on and off.
All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp

Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power it up, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight.

Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

Red dye reduction

Hi,
You can find your manual here....www.olympus.co.jp/en/support/imsg/digicamera/download/manual/zoom/man_c725uz_e.pdf

You find how to disable red eye function on page no: 63 in that manual.

For quick reference i am giving the details briefly,

The flash modes are as follows:

AUTO FLASH:

Automatically fires in low-light and backlight conditions.

RED EYE REDUCTION FLASH:

This mode significantly reduces
the phenomenon of “red-eye”
by emitting about 10 preflashes
before firing the regular
flash. This mode works the
same as the auto-flash except
for the pre-flashes.

To change between flash modes:

1 Press the (flash) switch.
● The flash pops up.
2 Press the / (flash mode) button
repeatedly until the desired flash mode
indication appears.
● The flash mode changes ,
● If / is not pressed within 2 seconds after the selection screen is
displayed, the selection screen disappears.
● To de-activate the flash (Flash Off mode ), push the flash back into the
camera.
3 Press the shutter button halfway.
● When the flash is ready to fire, the
(flash stand-by) mark lights.
4 Press the shutter button all the way.
● The flash fires.

Hope my info solves your problem,
Thanx for using fixya,
Good Luck.
