Re: re:bluetooth

There is a way to delete incomplet downloads, I however will have to search. It is somewhere in the Garmin area in this site.

Can't hear people during calls

sounds to me like theirs an issue with the Bluetooth and phones connection possibility. gps usualy has the bluetooth connection to cellphones and other devices. this is near feild technology and several factors can cause issues. example 1. you have a Bluetooth headset turned on and paired with the phone. if this is the case please try to shut the bt headset off and then pair the gps with your phone as per instructions.

another possibility exists that your phone may be getting interfearance from another phone or device on the same frequency band. to test that theory simply turn off any nearby waterless devices if your not sure.

my last thought would be that that your gps unti amy have a mute button or mode. this allows you to stop the other side from hearing your conversation.

as you can see theirs a broad range of things that can affect the near-field signals.

In the Nuvi 1300 Bluetooth controls can be found in Tools - Settings - Bluetooth.

In this screen the Bluetooth communication mode can be switched on/off by pressing on the Bluetooth menu entry. Press Off and Save to store this setting.

Also existing (paired) connections with a cellphone can be dropped by pressing the phone menu entry and press the delete button.

I purchased one of the callaway upro-and i followed the registering points and managed to do this with no problems. I downloaded my home course and an additional local course, again it seemed to be with no...

Mine is tempermental but I have found a work-around that gets it to sync. I have Windows 7 and that is the primary problem and somewhat of a known issue. Here is the process that works for my uPro: Reboot your computer and delete cache and cookies from your browser application. Browse to uPro website and Log in. Start the uPro. Plug it in after it starts and displays main page. Mine will try to run the "autorun" file from the uPro and will fail because my virus software will block it. That's OK becasue it stops at that point. Now I turn off the virus software. Back at the uPro website I click on "my uPro" then click on "Find uPro". Important step: choose "Run" from web at the find app prompt (do not save and run locally). This process will find my uPro and allow me to perform one action, load or remove courses, then I have to shut it all down and start over to perform any more actions. A pain, yes but untill they fix the software it works in my case. Good luck and Hit Em Straight!

Garmin bluetooth won't disconnect call

Solution below works for NUVI660 as well; ignore everything after step 6 but DO reboot and delete previously existing connections.

good luck

I was having the same problem with my Curve and Nuvi 680. What has fixed this for me is downgrading the Bluetooth firmware version on the Nuvi itself. I was running version 3.0 (you can check your version by going to Settings -> System -> About on the Nuvi) -- I had success after downgrading to version 2.4.

It's a bit of a convoluted process, but here is the procedure I followed:

1. Download the old Nuvi BT firmware from the Garmin Italy website:

2. Connect your Nuvi to your PC.

3. Go into the X:GarminRemoteSW and look for a file called 006B055301.GCD (where X: is your Nuvi drive)

4. Back up that file to your
computer, and delete it from the Nuvi.

5. Extract the file in the zip downloaded in step 1 to the X:GarminRemoteSW directory

6. Disconnect your Nuvi from your computer, and let it

7. Click on "View Map," then touch the "Speed" in the lower left corner.

8. You should have the "Dashboard" view up. Touch and hold the "Moving Average" box for ~15 seconds until the diagnostic screen appears.

9. Press the "next" button until you arrive at the "Bluetooth Status" screen (5-6 screens in)

10. Click "Updt PR" and then click "Yes"

11. Reboot the Nuvi, delete the existing bluetooth pairing, and attempt to re-pair with your BlackBerry.

Seems to work perfectly now -- please let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!

I had a Garmin installed in my new Volvo XC90. When I make or receive a call with my paired cell phone, I have no audio either through the phone or the car speaker. I cannot hear the caller or vice verse....

What model number is the GARMIN GPS?

Is your new Volvo equipped with the Bluetooth handsfree system?

It's possible that your GARMIN has paired itself to your cellphone unintentionally via Bluetooth (many GARMIN units have Bluetooth), and therefore intercepting your cellphone audio.

If you >intended< to use the GARMIN for this puropse, maybe your hands-free system in the Volvo is competing for your cellphone audio, and needs to be de-activated.

More info please :-)

Garmin NUVI 660 BlueTooth

I had the same problem, and this is how I fixed it. Now it's working fine.

Thank you for contacting Garmin International,

If you are currently running the most current version of bluetooth software, and you are still seeing issues where your compatible phone is still not connecting properly, please try the below procedure, which will reinstall the version of bluetooth you have downloaded in case there was any corruption during the transfer or installation of the bluetooth version.

1. Power the unit on

2. Touch View Map

3. Touch the ETA/Speed button in the bottom left hand corner.

4. press and hold your finger over the speedometer for 10-15 seconds until a new screen appears.

5. Touch next at the bottom of the screen until the top blue banner reads Bluetooth Status.

6. Touch UPDT P, then Touch yes.

7. At this point the unit should go to a page that says Updating Bluetooth Firmware, allow this to finish, once finished, press quit, then press and hold the back button. At this point, go back through and try to connect your Bluetooth device again.
