SOURCE: No firmware update available

Hi,
why do you want or need a firmware update ?
if the drive is functioning correctly, it,s best to leave it alone.
Flashing a drive with firmware, can lead to an unusable drive. if you get a corrupt file-bad flash or power cut. you,ll have a pretty paperweight.

SOURCE: How do you update firmware on YEPP YH-J70?

Reformating the player may do the trick, but you lose all your data. Connect player to PC. Start Samsung Media Studio. Under "Device", click "Format".

Download version 2.07 from http://www.3friends.co.uk/j70/index.php or use your preferred version.

Unzip the file. Copy the unzipped bin file to the YH-J70. Disconnect from PC. Power on. A message will appear saying that the player is upgrading the firmware (there is an indicator to show the percentage upgraded). Player will automatically restart on its own. Hope this helps.

I will left more space now than last time. Why I didn't
thought that some kilobytes aren't enough for operating.

Why did it freeze during software update?

Here is some help on a Sharp Aquos. You pull the plug and update manually.

Sharp Aquos Firmware Update Issue and Resolution I recently had problems with my Sharp Aquos LC-60LE632U and firmware update 311U1204061. When I attempted to run the Netflix app, I was told that I couldn't proceed unless I updated the firmware. After 2 attempts to update the firmware via the network, I turned to Google and found that this was a common problem. In order to resolve the issue, you'll need to update the firmware manually, via a USB thumb drive. See the following instructions:

  1. Go to the Sharp USA product download site
  2. After you choose your TV model, download the firmware file
  3. View the rest of the instructions found here

Update firmware lcd tv toshiba 32pb10e

How to Update Toshiba TV Firmware
  1. Plug a USB flash drive in to an available USB port on your computer and copy any files from the drive that you want to keep into a separate folder on your computer.
  2. Format the drive as a FAT32 file system. This erases all of the files currently on the USB flash drive.
  3. Click here to open the Toshiba Support home page.
  4. Click "Product Support" in the menu along the top of the home page. The Product Support drop-down menu opens.
  5. Select "Televisions" beneath Choose Category.
  6. Select your type of Toshiba TV beneath Choose Family. For example, options include 3D TV, LCD TV and LED TV.
  7. Select your Toshiba TV model beneath Choose Model.
  8. Click the red "Go" button to the right of the Choose Model section after selecting your Toshiba TV model. The product support page for that specific TV model will be displayed.
  9. Select the "Downloads" tab. If there are no downloads available for your TV model, either your won't be able to click the tab or there will be a message within the tab that says there are no downloads at this time. If this is the case, no firmware updates are available for your Toshiba TV. Check back periodically, as firmware updates are released as needed and aren't scheduled.
  10. If there is content in the Downloads section, look in the Category section for an item titled TV Firmware. If this option doesn't appear, no firmware update is available. However, if this option does appear, click the clickable link associated with the firmware. The TV Firmware Update and Release Notes dialog box appears. In this dialog box you can see the size of the firmware update file, when it was released, exactly what it addresses and more.
  11. Click the red "Download Now" button and save the file to your connected USB flash drive.
  12. Extract the contents of the ZIP file on the USB flash drive.
  13. Disconnect the USB flash drive from the computer after the firmware update file saves successfully to the device.
  14. Power on the Toshiba TV and then connect the USB flash drive to the USB port on the Toshiba TV.
  15. Wait a few moments for the "Firmware file is detected in USB" dialog box to appear on the screen. Select "Yes" to update the firmware. A progress bar displays on the screen. Be careful not to turn your TV off while the firmware is updating. The progress bar changes to a "Success!" message after the update successfully installs.
  16. Disconnect the USB flash drive from the TV and then restart the TV. After the TV restarts you can resume using the TV as you normally would.

HDMI firmware might haven't installed. Contact the authorized service center. If you're sound in electronics, check this link. It has details about the firmware update to most models Toshiba TVs. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Pull up previous posts by its left sidebar, or type in the brand name and model number to of your set, to its search box, and press 'Enter' or view it in Mosaic / Timeslide option.

Firmware update for LG bp125 gone bad

I ran into issues updating my BP125 to the LG_BD_7300M51.ROM firmware with a USB drive but was able to work around them. I think they occur because the BP125 expects the firmware to be in the upg_all subdirectory during part of the update. To successfully update, it needs to be in upg_all on the USB drive. If you update with LG_BD_7300M51.ROM firmware file in the root directory, the Bluray drive won't complete booting but a workaround can restore the Bluray drive. Here are the steps I took:

First, I tried to update with the LG_BD_7300M51.ROM file in the root directory on a USB drive. The update found the firmware, started the update, then powered off. I powered the Bluray player back on, and it said the update had failed and gave me an option to update using USB or Network. Neither worked with the LG_BD_7300M51.ROM file.

Second, I downloaded the BP120 LG_BD_7200M51.ROM firmware file, renamed it to LG_BD_7300M51.ROM, and put it in the root directory. The Bluray player found the firmware file, and I updated to it. That put the BP120 firmware on the BP125.

To update to the BP125 firmware, I renamed the LG_BD_7300M51.ROM file to LG_BD_7200M51.ROM and put it in the upg_all directory on the USB drive. The Bluray player then saw the update. I applied it successfully to get to the latest BP125 firmware.

Toshiba 19dv665db I have bought this t.v. and it has no sound. Could you please tell me where I can get it repair in the newcastle upon tyne area.

There is a firmware update required, it's really easy to do - just put the update onto a memory stick and insert this into the back panel when the tv is powered on and it will automatically install the update. I have a copy of this update and would be willing to share this with you?

Toshiba 26LV610u TV with no sound on one channel

If you have lost sound on only one station and are using cable or an antenna directly to the TV. Look in the audio settings as most likely the SAP mode is turned on. If the TV detects a SAP signal even if there is no audio this is what you will end up with.

Sharp TV LC-42D64U

That totally stinks! Do a search for that tv on the internet. You might be able to get a main board inexpensively. I did for an LG 32 inch. I got all the circuit boards for the tv (never used) for less than $100. I replaced the main board and works great. Replace only if you know what you are doing!

Hi, I have a toshiba RD-XS52 that requires a firmware update before HDMI will work with newer model TV. Have tried to download and run update link provided by tosiba with 10 pouched discs. Any thoughts?

I tried the firmware found on Toshiba Canada website, it doesn't work. I believe the US version of RD-XS52 firmware is not upgradeable. The site said the firmware is for RD-XS52SC. You guys got it to work?

S series, update or restore?

I had the same problem. Reinstalling the firmware solved it but you can't get it from Toshiba (they were no help). I found a copy on the web but have since had a hard drive so I no longer have the file. Try a Google search for gigabeat firmware and you should track it down.
