We got a TV from a relative in Canada, we brought it here to the US, and our satelite will not work on any of the channels. All of the connections were correct and our satelite provider said channel 60 is the one that we are suppose to use. This is for the second TV for a DVR from DISHNETWORK.

does a DVD player work on the unit?
if so, be sure you have good connections of your input cables (and you know these connector cables to be good), then see if you can manually program channel 3, or any other channels programmed manually. I suggest channel 3 in case you are using satelite or cable box. Then turn the cable or satelite box & see if you get reception on channel 3.
You need an aerial to tune the freeview. However, to record from satelite you can connect a scart lead from the satelite vcr out to the dvd in and it will record vie the av "channel" on the dvd. Depending on your location, regarding signal strength, you can purchase an indoor, boosted aerial to tune the freeview. Also, if the scart connection on the dvd is a 2 way connection( allowing a signal to the tv as well as from the tv) you can connect the tv to the satelite and the dvd to the satelite only and the dvd will play through the satelite even when the satelite is off.
If you hooked up the satelite box to your tv Automaticly the Satelite box is the one who pick up the channels (from the satelite)
In this case your tv is acting as a monitor only. Try to connect your tv with HDMI cable or COMPONENT cable for best picture. Don't use RF antenna input to hook up your Satelite Box. Hope this Helps
SOUNDS LIKE WHAT HAPPENED TO ME WHEN THE CHANNEL GOT ACCIDENTALLY BLOCKED AS AN UNUSED CHANNEL CHECK YOUR MENU ON REMOTE FOR ADD AND REMOVE CHANNELS AND RELOAD THAT CHANNEL AS INSTRUCTS IN MANUAL FOR THE TV
Do you mean the channels from the internal tuner which would be channels 22 to 68, or do you mean satelite channels, as I do not know whether this set has a built in satelite receiver?
Satelite broadcasters are often changing frequencies or satelites.-
