The installer sets that amount of time in the main system box. For business it's typically set for two minutes (129s) or three minutes (180s), for residence it's usually set for more time, three or more minutes. Panasonic calls it the "Hold Recall time." It's not set in the phone, it's a system wide setting.

Hi,
To make two-party call on your Panasonic phone and ask the person on the other line to wait for a moment.
Check to see if your Panasonic phone has a flash key feature. If it does, press the flash key down and wait until you hear the confirmation tone. If the Panasonic phone you're using does not have a flash key, hold down the the hook switch for half a second, then release. Dial the number of the third person in your conference call. If you're inviting someone in-house to be a part of your conference call, dial their extension number instead. If you're dialing an outside line you may need to dial 9 before dialing the number.
Wait for the new addition to the conference call to answer and then press the Flash key again. Wait an additional two or three seconds before pressing the number three on your telephone keypad. Start your conference call. Once you've pressed the flash key followed by the number 3, as in Step 4, your conference call is established. If you wish to add additional participants simply repeat Steps 3 and 4.
Not unless the phone as 2 lines but u have to call the both people or the person you called can but it go's both ways you just have to press the talk button then call someone then press talk again then call that person then press talk again and you all three should be on the same line
Very simple, make your first call once they answer press the conf. button, make your second call then press the conf. button again. If you need a third person press conf button again (this puts calls 1 and 2 on hold) make call number three then press conf. again and all will be connected.
FYI:
With a special card in the system Panasonics can conf upto eight people.
3 way call is very simple...... just have 1 person on the line... put them on hold.... and call the other person, when the other person is on the line.... there should be a Link button on the display witch will link the 2 people together giving you your 3 way call :)
If you have a flash button, you would use that to place the first call on hold and dial or answer a second call. If this is a single line phone in your home, you would have to have "Three Way Calling" feature with your local phone company. If you do, you could ask them what the dialable feature code is. It's possible they allow you to use your flash button, get dial tone and dial another person, when they answer, flash again to conference. If you don't have a flash button, they you would be using your Green or Off Hook button that you use to get your dial tone.
Call into your mailbox (usually by dialing intercom 165)
Press 4, and 4 again (for "Incomplete call handling") By default, three options are enabled: option #1: leave a message options #5: call the operator option #6: return to top menu
Follow the audible prompts to disable options 5 and 6
Here are some other features you may need
Make sure your Auto Answer button is lit up, so you can receive intercom announcements, and respond hands-free.
Use the Call Forwarding (FWD) to send un-answered calls to another phone or to voicemail
Press BGM (or 1 on the touch-tone pad) for background music, if your system is equipped.
Use Absent Messages to show text messages on other people's phones when you are away.
Use System Call Waiting so your phone will ring even when you're on the phone. Press Intercom and dial 7311 to set it up, or 7310 to cancel.
Use Do Not Disturb (DND) when you don't want to receive calls. Press Intercom, press FWD/DND and dial 1 to activate, or 0 to cancel.
Press MESSAGE when you call a busy intercom number. This will turn on the MESSAGE light on the other phone, and the other person can tap that button to automatically call you back.
If you get a busy signal when you call an intercom number, you can signal the other person by dialing 1 (if that phone is programmed for System Call Waiting (above).
Dial 330 to make an announcement to all phones.
If you want your phone to automatically select an outside line when you pick up the handset, press PROGRAM, dial 99, dial 12, press STORE, press PROGRAM
