Whirlpool duet code f33

The F33 error means that the washer control unit didn't get the expected response from the drain pump drive during a self-test (before starting the washer cycle). This is usually a wiring issue. Unplug the washer and drain out any water in the unit. Remove the clothing and pull the washer out so that you can reach the access panel. Take a look at the wiring between the drain pump and the CCU (control unit) DP2 connector. Make sure that all of the wiring harnesses are connected. Look for any broken wires or ones that are detached from the wiring harness. With an multimeter, check for continuity in these wires. If there are any broken wires, replace the wiring (Main Harness).

If the wiring is okay, check if the drain pump filter is clogged with a foreign object. Disassemble the drain pump and check if the impeller is intact and on its shaft. Replace the pump if the impeller is damaged. Reconnect the power to the washer and check if the error recurs.

I hope this helps. If you add a comment with the model number, I may be able to provide more information on the parts.

Washer agitates but won't spin or drain - makes a humming/buzzing sound during those cycles

check the pump, could have a sock or something stuck in it.usually i would say to check the lid switch, open and close the lid,if you don't hear a clicking sound the washer won't go into spin or drain but if you're hearing a humming sound that's the motor watch this video it will show you how to get to the pump.pop off the two clips that hold the pump on and remove the pump just pull it backwards off of the motor shaft, now get a piece of wire and strip the ends on it,2 to 3 inches long, unplug the washer before you start to work on it,get your jumper wire and stick it into the wire harness that connects to the lid switch, don't plug it into the ground plug it into the other two wires not the green wire,i'm pretty sure it's the two outside wires and the green ground is in the middle, plug the washer back in and pull the timer out in the spin cycle,if the motor runs and spins you know something is stuck in the pump or the pump is bad,but just to make sure it's not the lid switch and it is the pump put the pump back on and start the washer again if you hear the humming it's the pump or before you pull the pump jump out the lid switch and see if it spins and drains,if it doesn't then pull the pump so you don't have to stick the bad pump back on the washer, all the lid switch is for is so the washer will not run in the spin with the lid open and some washers won't even agitate if the lid is open by using the jumper wire we are bypassing the lid switch to check the washer while it's apart.hope this helps and if you can let us know how you make out so if someone else reads this with the same problem it will help them out too.

My Maytag Bravos pumps, drains but wont spin.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

When the washer fills but does not agitate or spin then you can check if the lid switch is fine. You can jump start the lid switch by connecting both the wires with each other or use the third wire to act as jumper between the two. After this if the problem is solved then replacing lid switch is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Washer will wash but wont drain or spin.

The motor on your machine has the pump mounted on itthemobilian_1699.jpgWater can't be expelled if the washer motor cannot spin. One direction is for wash and the other is for pump out and spin.
SO... if it won't spin or drain the that lid switch is probably broken. They put a lid switch in there to prevent folk from grabbing or messing around with them clothe while that washer is in full blast.
To get to them lidswitch yall need to flip up the console and expose the connectionthemobilian_1700.jpgthemobilian_1701.jpgthemobilian_1702.jpgthemobilian_1703.jpgthemobilian_1704.jpgthemobilian_47.gif
Them lid switch connection got 3 wire. 2 hot wire and one grounding wire (green mounted to frame). Yall jumper them two hot wires and see if that puppy takes off. Don't be leaving it that way in case yall have peeps that would get hurt messin around with them washer while spinning all full blast.
How it works

Washer wont spin

The washer will not spin/rinse if it cannot drain the tub first. To start with check the drain pump for any clogs/obstructions; also check the drain hose for any blockages.

After this is done check the drain pump motor and drain pump, also check the wire harness from the CCU (central control unit) to drain pump and replace the part that has gone bad.

Will not spin or drain properly

It ain't gonna spin till the drain pump is working. Get the pump off and look for objects. To remove the pump you unlock the tab and twist the pump a hair. The pump is on the bottom of tub. Directions and more HERE

Maytag Neptune Washer Wont Spin Water Off

The obvious place to check would be the drain pump and the drain pump motor.
Disassemble the drain pump and check for a blockage.
Make a jumper wire and connect to the drain pump motor to make sure it works.
Then report back.

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II - Whinning and leaking small amount of water

If the water is appearing in the front of the washer, you may have a leak in the drain pump. The link I'm posting below gives step-by-step instructions on how to replace the drain pump.

If it is not the drain pump, at least this gives you the necessary instruction on how to access the cabinet interior to inspect it properly. A whining noise could be something caught in the pump, or something stuck between the wash tub and outer basket. In order to run the washer with the case removed, you will need to by-pass the lid switch. this accomplished by jumpering the two BLACK wires on the lid switch connector at the timer. CAUTION: Unplug the washer before connecting the jumper wires. Then, plug back in and start the washer. Fill on the lowest setting and look for leaks.

NOTE: The drain pump is not serviceable and must be replaced if leaking.

I hope this helps you. Let me know if you have further questions.

Wont spin after ive replaced the drain pump

Plug off the wall. Check to see if all the wires are securely in place, not just with the pump, but all. At the motor un-plug & replug.
