Question about Samsung Computers & Internet
Samsung DVD burner and the disk is not recognized by other devices
What about special file recognizing software? Most of it is rather helpful, last time I needed to recognize a file from my card I used this tool File Type Advisor , it is really fast and seems like able to manage with any task.

"by other devices"...... what other devices? The only thing that needs to recognize hardware is the Windows OS. You might want to try downloading and running this file: http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/files/file/8-cdgone/

Which operating system of Windows are you using to burn them?
If you are using Windows XP you will need a program such as Nero to burn them. The send to DVD doesn't work in XP. It will only work on Cds. One should have came with the DVD.

you may not install the proper drivers of your burner, install it again and use some other burner application like nero cd burner etc.

I have an LH-20A1S, & I am using Roxio Easy CD
Creator 6; Yes, I know there are newer versions, but they all ****! Anyway, it USED to work just fine in recognizing DL DVD's W/the updates from Roxio's site. & now there is no option there for this size (8.5)w/in the actual Creator prog. Is it the drive? This JUST started happening recently. Any clue if it IS the drive? & if so, any idea what caused this? I've always used Lite-On's & have NEVER had this sort of prob before! & of course it is out of warranty, & a discontinued model to boot! standar DVD drives are real cheap inprice these days, but STILL I do't wanna have to buy an new one if I can 'fix' it. BTW, I have updated the latest firmware for this drive from Lite-On's site too, & it didn't resolve this issue either!
