Brushes won"t spin, Model F7452-900

I purchased in late feb of this year. Suddenly the brushes do not spin. When removed the brushes spin, but when put back in, it appears to have a mechanism locked, because the can't turn even manually. Please help!

You normally have one year from date of purchase with a receipt for warranty. Your problem is turbine related and you will need to get it to your nearest dealer for service.

Hoover 8+spin1600 forever banging when spinning16

Hi! If your unit is noisy while the brushes are spinning this can mean that your brushes are worn or damaged. Try removing the brushes by pushing the two brush release buttons at the same time. Turn the cleaner on and see if the noise persists. If the noise stops with the brushes removed, you will need to replace your brushes. I have included a link below where you may go to purchase a replacement brush roll if needed. Hope this helps!

Brissell proheata 2x doesn't have suction or the red brushes won't rotate on the hand tools?

Check the brushes for hair or some other clogging material and remove it. If the brushes can't spin freely, there is not enough suction power to make them spin.

The brushes won't spin. I put new brushes on and it still doesn't spin.

Usually when the brushes won't turn it is due to a bad turbine. Insert a screwdriver into the square hole that the pin on the brush fits into, and see if it turns. If it is seized up, the turbine assembly will need to be replaced.

In this machine there is no belt. The brushes actually spin by vacuum and in the turbine assembly there is a small wheel bearign which rusts out. You will need to remove and repair or replace the turbine and gear assembly P/N should be 43191009

This unit uses a turbine assy to turn the brushes. The brushes could have something jamming them. Remove the brush unit, it is held on 2 spring hooks 1 on each side. The brush unit is driven thru a 1/4" square post, only one brush is driven and it drives the next then it drives the next etc. If something is jammed in these gears it will stop the entire brush assy. The turbine assy could be bad, but I would check the brush assy first.

The bottom brush that spins around is not moving anymore

The belt that drives it has probably broke,If you can remove the head on that model remove it and replace the belt . You make have to access the belt by removing the screws from the bottom of the power head.

All you need for your item is the belt.dissassemble the unit and you will se the track where the belt was, or even the old ne snapped an trapped somewhere inside. brush assembly purchase will not solve this.

No suction on Roomba 560

Larger debris is usually the responsibility of the brushes. Remove the bin and run the Roomba-- are the brushes actually turning? If not, call customer support for a new cleaning head module. If so, remove the grill from the back of the bin. Make sure that the little fan inside is clean, then reinstall the bin on the Roomba and run it. If that little fan doesn't spin, your Roomba has lost vacuum suction and you need a new bin.

Hoover floor mate wet/dry - brushes do not spin

Hey there bankshots, if you look at the bottom of the head of the vacuum, you should be able to see the brushes. Their are some screws to remove to gain access to the inside of the bottom panel. When opened, you should be able to see the entire spinning brush assembly. On one side, there is an area which has no brushes and may contain the remnents of your belt which most likely is the problem. These belts are often replaced and not the sign of any thing to worry about. Replacements can be found at registered repair facilities. Alternately, a professional will do it for you for a modest charge. Also your warranty may cover this if your machine is less than a year old, or you purchased the extra protection from the seller. Good Luck!
