Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box.

Tv turned on with remote, sign please ensure aerial is plugged in. do you want to start automatic search yes no. can't get further using remote. 2 green lights left of box and 1red light.

Do you have a digital to analog signal converter hooked up to the TV? If you use an antenna to receive the broadcast signal you need the converter box. You can buy them on eBay for cheap.

Hooked up converter box and stations are all working but sound is coming out a hissing.

Use the volume control on the remote for the converter box to raise the sound level. Adjust the TV volume with the converter box turned all the way up then reduce to normal listening level with the converter box remote.

Box was working, tv now back to analog

Sounds like the converter didn't make it. The symptoms you describe sound like the converter was working and then died. You may want to bring it back to store were you got it.

Converter box

3/23/09 --- I don't understand why you would hook your converter box or antenna to your DVD Player. Converter box is only functional between an antenna and a vcr (and/or a TV). DVD Player hooks directly to TV (NOT thru a vcr, coding on dvd discs will screww up the signal and make it fade!) Good luck.

Cannot hook up ps2 to durabrand model DWT1304

yes , you need to be in GAME mode on the TV , since you don't have the remote you can still access GAME mode from the menu button on the front of the TV . you must be in GAME mode for your PS2 to work. thanks

Added dtv converter box and sound volumn drops!

some of those converter boxes have their own volume inside the box also. If your remote control for the converter box has its own volume control, try turning it up and then turn up the TV volume control use the TV remote. If this works you should see a volume indication on the screen of the TV for each of the attempts.

Connect tv vcr and dvd player to digital converter box

Yes you can first connect the converter box to the antenna first. Next hook the tv out on converter box to vcr in on vcr. Next hook the vcr out to the tv in and watch vcr and converter box on channel 3 sometimes channel 4.on the actual tv and of course change channels with converter box remote. For dvd player hook it straight to tv with red, white, and yellow cables that come with your dvd player. Then to watch dvd player if it's hooked up that way you have to put your tv on a input like video 1 or input 1. This can be done by using the tv remote and looking for a button that says tv/video or input or source button. This is some common names for that button on tv remotes.

Bought 2 DTT-9900 converter boxes and hooked them to 2 TV's, get signals after playing around with antenna. but after using both TV's to play a dvd (dvd player hook to TV) The sound went down to almost...

Try turning off the converter box when using the DVD player. The zenith have a second sound control on the converter box remote thus you may have to adjust the sound on the tv remote because you are using the dvr. I set the zenith sound level at the highest level and use on the tv remote only to adjust sound. This eliminated a hiss that the sound control on the converter box was causing.
