My front door which opens outward freezes shut, how can I fix this problem?

Spray some cooking spray on the rubber seals around the car doors and then rub it with a paper towel. The doors freeze because of snow melting into the seals and freezing overnight; the cooking spray oils should protect against that melting water. You can try also some silicone spray.

As it spins very slowly back and forth it also makes the grinding squeeking noise.

Hi Robert.
What you describe sound like a distorted drum and/or collapsed bearings. The grinding noise is typical of bearings which are worn out, and the squeaking can come from the drum rubbing on the door seal.
Check if the inner drum is loose and flops up and down. Also spin the drum by hand and see if it's touching the rubber door seal anywhere. If it spins freely but make a growling noise your bearings need to be replaced..
Neither of these situations are good. A serviceman is probably required to know for sure.
Good luck.

Check that drum (2nd below) is not rubbing on this door seal

LG WM 0642 HW Direct Drive Making a thumping sound when spinning and smells like burned rubber. Smoke coming out of durm when front load door was opened.

Hi Paul.
What you're describing is probably the inner drum rubbing on the door seal.
It could be because the rear bearing assembly has collapsed or because the drum is distorted.
Turn the drum slowly by hand and see if the gap between the rim of the drum and the rubber seal stays the same. This will tell you if the drum is 'round' or bent out of shape.
Alternatively, if the drum flops up and down inside the outer drum it would be because of bearing collapse
Either of these situations would require a service visit and parts.

My front loading Neptune model mah3300 quit spinning. When I opened it up I found the drive belt laying on the bottom of the cabinet along with quite a bit of dirty water.

the drum bearings and seal ar shot

replace them the belt and thats that

open the machines front and check for drum play if it moves up and down and side to side then the drum seal went and then the bearings rotted in the last few months ive seen branded generic machines with bearing and seal faults caused by bad seals and not oiled at fit bad rubber quality etc
sometimes you need to look for a 'maker' that makes it instead of a factory that prints them out and brands per order of so many of the same machine
half baked and full of software and hardware flawes

i see more and more of this multibrand madness,.. and poor east quality control???

dont pass with me for sure

Drum stopped rotating at end of cycle smell burning rubber

There are two likely reasons for the rubber smell - either the drum belt has melted and snapped or the drum seal has rubbed too much and melted. Most likely cause would be poor drum bearings or consistent overload of washing. I am assuming this is a front loader as you have not provided any details of make or model.

Washer maytag front loading 4000 series assembled and runs but iwith two problems.1) residue on inner surface of door window..lint like oily paste ..gasket rubbing on inner drum?? meaning main rubber

The fault seems to be that the main seal is rubbing against and is thus producing the oily residue on the window. Now the fault seems that the drum is rubbing due to POOR ALIGNMENT or poor BEARING settings.
You need to check the PLAY on the drum and if this shakes a bit then the assembly must be reset with correct aligment and the drum must move without rubbing the rubber seals.

Smoking washing machine

Switch it off before you burn your house down

The drum support sounds to have either cracked or come loose allowing the drum to run on the door gasket

The friction will cause the rubber to melt and burn hence the smoke.

Get a service person out to it asap
