I searched forever for an answer to this and never found one. So this is what I did when you take the cover off on the left hand side there are two switches with two wires coming from.each switch. Then in the same group of wires the is two slightly larger wires one red one black. Those wires go to the optic eye that tells the machine is full. Cut and splice these teo wires together coming from the circuit board this will tell the machine it is empty and should make ice. Worked for me. It just doesn't cut off on its own whenever its full.

Took the plunge and did the above splice of the black and red wires . Works great, must manually shut it off, or just don't fill as full of water so it doesn't overflow. Note, you only need to remove the screws from the back bottom of unit. Wires are on the left side of unit with it facing you.Thanks.

My husband took mine apart last night to find out that the sensor inside that tell you that the ice is full had gotten water in it and the wires coming out of the little LED bulb rusted & broke off, now trying to find a replacement has become very challenging!

Just add more water as ice is needed Note, you only need to remove the screws from the back bottom of unit. eye which signals "full."Thanks.

My portable ice maker is not making ice, when turned on it shows ice full, but there is no ice in it. Any advice?

it seems the sensor is jammed or malfunctioning, fooling the control section and keeping the machine from working.
I don't know the machine but the sensor detecting the full ice section is either mechanical or a thermistor (electronic). Locate the sensor and make sure it is in position to sense or simply messing with it may make it work again.
Igloo may have a troubleshooting section in their website.

Is working but not keep the temp down to were we need it

Check the condenser is clean, any fans are working full speed, and the evaporator isn't iced up. A full defrost will do it some good too!

My ice machine model f-450 mah makes ice but once it's full the water keeps running and runs out of the machine how do I fix this?

Make sure the plug in the water tray is secure and not allowing water to drip out. Check to make sure the float turns off the flow water once up to level.

Jenn-air ice maker, stand alone unit, will not shut off, keeps producting ice.

There should be a sensor inside the ice maker bin that tells the ice maker when its full. It may be a wire or an arm on top of the ice. If you accidentally knocked that off the ice maker won't know when the bin is full and just keeps making ice

ICE MAKER MOTOR RUNS CONSTANTLY AND WONT' TURN OFF ICE IS FULL

It's not too difficult to remove the ice maker. A few screws and the unit will unplug from the fridge. Then you can see why the bar is not turning it off. If it's really broken, check pcappliance.com for parts or a replacement unit. Meanwhile the fridge can keep on working, and you can use trays to make ice.

ICE WITHOUT PLUMBING

it really doesnt matter how full you fill the bucket. round cubes will probably dispense just fine if you have access to that shape ice.
One additional thing, be sure to turn the icemaker off to prevent the fill valve from going bad and to keep it from making a loud buzz about every 10 minutes. thx peyton

Bin control

The bin control shuts it off when the ice bin is full. Without a bin control it should keep making ice and never stop.
