Sensor/switch is broken - replace! A circuit in your machine will not allow the machine to be started unless the handbrake is engaged. this is determined by a sensor/switch.

Fuses keep burning out; rear lights don't come on when brakes are applied. Is there a connection between these two problems?

There is a problem with your question
from what you say the brake lights do not come on when the brakes are applied --that would most likely be a faulty brake light switch
The fuse blows when the hand brake is applied indicates a short after the hand brake switch before the brake indicator in the dash that lets you know the hand brake is applied
you say that the rear light come on when the light switch is turned on--does the fuse blow then , when the brakes are applied or only when the hand brake is applied
a clearer question with a lot of detail ( make , model year , engine size etc)will get a closer answer

Red Handbrake warning saying Apply handbrake and not starting

I familiar with this setup, but the car should start with the parking brake on. I could see it warning you if you try to move it with brake set, or maybe even shutting off engine then, but I would never think it would prevent engine from starting. Is this a stick shift or automatic. Make sure transmission is in neutral or park, clutch depressed.

Hi can i bypass my ABS on my Fiesta 2009. My brakes only works rite when the ABS lights up on the dash....Before it lights up the brake are hard then you have to pump it a little the brake was bleeded

Lots of ways,,
Just pull the fuse ,unhook a wheel sensor, unplug the control box,
Anything to cause a fault,
As long as the ABS light is on you will have normal base brakes.
(I prefer mine like that)
Be sure the RED brake is not on however.
Hope this helps.

Parking Brake Fault light is coming on? I reset the battery and it keeps coming on. It starts with the "apply parking brake" light and then when you take off, it goes to a parking brake fault? Please...

This is a common fault often caused by low battery voltage, before you start taking expensive actions with the park brake modules etc get your battery checked for 100% efficiency.
Hope this helps, good luck.

The idiot like on the dash is coming on saying Brake, what is it trying to tell me?

you may have low fluid level due to normal brake pad wear. if it is the red brake warning light that your seeing, try applying the E brake while watching the light.does it get brighter when E brake is applied?
if it does not, then the problem is in the E brake system, check fuses and electrical connections around the E brake switch. good luck.

Red light on all the time on dash small red dot light bottom left

what red light the hand brake light, if it is your hand brake light you need to get that back brakes looked at as they could be binding and heat your brakes up, and you will not stop as you should,

Abs light flashing alternatively when putting ignition on

There is a simple way to fix it as I've discovered. Start your bike, if lights are flashing ride for a mile or two applying the rear brake a few times. Stop the bike and place on centre stand. switch off motor then restart. Your flashing lights should have gone. Why the flashing happens is if you ride and use your rear brake rarely and then your bike sits for a day or two without use your rear brake assembly fully retracts, ie pads away from disc and ABS gizzmos inactive. The ABS sensor unit then reports extended non use pattern to the onboard 'brain' which activates the warning mode of flashing lights. This has worked for me several times over the last 5 years when its occured. Full ABS operations return. Tried it on a mates bike and it fixed same problem on his.
