Is your headset plugged into the jack on your headset for speakers? If so, they won't play as long as the headset is plugged into them. Once you unplug them, they will play again. It's an either/or situation, as they assume nobody wants headphones and speakers to play at the same time.

If that's NOT the case, please supply more information.

Try to connect an audio system or headsets from the audio/headset input. If there has sound coming out?. The speaker of your PC was damaged. If did'nt hear any sound? Update the sound driver.

My laptop speakers are not working but there is sound when i attach headset


once cause is that your onboard speaker on your laptop was already been busted, My suggestion is better to use headset or external speaker. Or also try to navigate control panel and go to sound settings then check if their is an option for internal speaker being used. If not then better to use your headset or external speaker. I am using a Koss CS-100 Headset, and i only have one 3.5mm plug on my laptop so im using a splitter on it, and my laptop wont detect it, and even when i just plug one into the 3.5mm plug it still wont...


Windows isn't directing sound to the headset plug. This can be changed under control panel sound.
Sometimes it will asign itself if you turn on the computer with the headset already plugged in.
Also check the settings under all programs --- accessories -- entertainment -- volume control
and make sure the volume isnt too low or muted for the device.

I am getting no sounds from my speakers. Everything on the PC seems to be set correctly. The speakers do work when an Ipod is plugged into it. How can I tell if the problem is the cord going from the PC to...


I have tried everything I can think of to fix the problem, but finally gave up and called the person who I purchased it from last June. As I had been using a headset, I don't think we ever tested if the speakers worked with this PC. He is coming to look at it tomorrow. I seem to have ruled out everything except the connection ports on the PC. I hope that he can solve the problem tomorrow.

Sound only works with headset. No longer comes


If the sound is working through another device then it seems that the internal speakers are bad. Because if the sound card was bad you wouldn't have any sound whatsoever, same goes for drivers. Probably just some bad speakers. If you have some other external speakers try plugging them into the headphone port and see if that helps.

No Voice Through Headset


From another website. I can't take any credit:

"I'm using Vista.

Okay, I finally figured out how to fix it ....

Control Panel -> Sound -> Right-click "Properties" -> "Levels" Tab -> Un-mute Microphone and move the slider to 100."

Then turn up the headset speaker control all the way.

Do you mean a software driver? There are no drivers needed to connect to the PC or MAC. Do you mean the speaker itself?
