get a link on the manual itself, it appears to be a free download, but
I'm not positive, look to the right of the page & it will show a menu
look for sewing machine owner's manuals & find your model & click
on it & it will down load, that's what it did for me.

or go to the riccar website & enter the site & in the search box at the bottom put in manuals & then on the page to the left look for the product manuals & then go to sewing machine owner manuals & look for model number RM 540,,,it is there

try sewusa.com for threading diagrams or riccar does have some operation manuals when you go to thier site after you enter the website on the main page go to the bottom & look for manuals & click on that & it will take you to the manuals click on home sewing & embroidery

go to diplodocs on page1
look on the right hand side for the alphetbet letters look for S
then look for the singer name,,click on the singer name
that will take you to page 2
look for a large box that says MOST COMMON SEARCHES
look for your sewing machine number & click on it & it will take you to the page 3
on the left look for the box that says FIND USER GUIDE FOR SINGER
click on the manual for your machine it will take you to the last page
page 4-go to box on left hand side that says user manual & it will show a icon it free shows pdf file click on download tab & it will take you to
the final page to the download either answer the questions or put in the code & download the free manual
