Question about Samsung RL41WGIH Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
The freezer is working, the light is off and the fridge isn't cold. I have replace the bulb in the light but no difference. The fan is on as I can hear it
Bad news for you. I've had the same symptom. The problem was compressor. It seem it will not work longer as about 5 years. To buy another one and repair was expensive. I have now new fridge similar to this but I hav for compressor 10 years waranty.

It seems it's the defrost sensor (freezer side). Waiting for it to come, ordered this morning. It appears to be a defrost fault, having read on the web it seems you can check the defrost sensor with a meter across whilst holding the actual sensor in your hand tightly to see if the resistance changes, anyway it didn't. Will post when the new one comes and I change it.

the problem is going to more then likely in the main control board which is on the back of the refrigerator in a little compartment this board is bad about going out if you have power surges or outages

No. check this post from right here.
Question: was the fridge running when you went to pick it up ?
Was it already on ?
My thinking is that you have the ice build up problem too and that it never thawed. If you unplug it, thawing could take days. Seriously. If you take the inside panel off and get some heat on it
only an hour or so.
You have the exact same model I do, and it works good, just designed poorly. It needs a drain hole on that condensor.
And your fan probably is fine. Do not spend $500.
