Try another bobbin, that one might be warped
use a can of computer air in the bobbin area for lint
if the problem persists then the machine should be checked

SOURCE: Can you please tell me how to change the bulb for

You have to take off the cap to the screw on the side of the cover. It is just bellow the foot tension. and then unscrew the side. It will then come right off, you may have to tug a little. Then, you can take the bulb out and replace it.

I have been given janome 525s the material not feeding through the foot. Unless i pull material it wont move

Make sure the feed dogs have not been dropped, ie for darning or free motion quilting. Also, make sure the stitch length is set high enough to actually create a forward stitch.

How to controle loose stich

Check he tension on thread and on the bobbin. If you can see THE KNOT ON THE FACE OF MATERIAL then try loosening thread tension on top or tighten bobbin tension so stitch meets in the middle. May take a couple of tries to get it straight.

Problem with feed dogs and thread catching

Hello Emma,

Hope this helps.
When the feed dogs are lowered they will not go up with just the switch. Try this, move the feed dog switch to the up position, then turn the handwheel 1 complete rotation. Voila they should be up. Let me know if it is solved. Chris

The bobin thread is not feeding smoothly. The thread on the bottom of the material is bunching up. I have adjusted the tension in every which way that I can but the problem persists.

you might check & see if the thread has come off the thread take up lever
take the bobbin out of the case & then put it back in
also check the needle it could have a burr on it or be bent or blunt
