How do i put my own message in answer machine please can any one

Hello, it seems that the answering mode is set to announcement only, to change to answering machine, at base station press Menu and Vol + or Vol - to select answering machine, again press menu and Vol + or Vol - to select answering modes, ANNC & REC means answering machine, ANNC ONLY, only plays the recorded greeting, press menu to save selection.

Go to menu and work through the options, it's in there somewhere. Alternatively, check the user manual and do the same. If you don't have one, Google the make and model number and look for user manual downloads.

I suspect you have your answering machine in "Announce" mode, where it plays an outgoing message but does not accept incoming messages. You want to switch it to "Answer" mode, where it will accept incoming messages.
Since you declined to specify the model of your VTech answering machine, I can't tell you how to switch modes. I can only direct you to enter it into the search box here to download a copy of the manual.

Press1 and hold it or call your own number. When you hear your message press wither # or * and go to message settings.
(It is usually #)
Then listen to your options and select the one you want to change your greetings.

Go to Messaging --> Press Options --> Text Message --> Message Centre --> If SIM Message centre number hasn't been changed please use that by choosing it via the Message centre in use option.

If number was changed, try creating a new one by going back to message centres --> Press Options --> New message centre (Inquire with your provider what message centre number you will use if you don't know)

However, there is no indication of a answering machine on this unit.

Step I: Set the Remote ID (security code) on themachine itself:

1 Press (SET/REC).
2 Press (ANSWER ON/OFF).

A voice guide will say: “Pleaseset the security code. To select, pressthe SKIP or REPEAT button. To enter,press the SET button”.

3 Set a two-digit number between 00 and 99 bypressing (SKIP/QUICK) or (REPEAT/SLOW). Press (SKIP/QUICK) to increase a number, or (REPEAT/SLOW) to decrease.

Each time you press (SKIP/QUICK)or (REPEAT/SLOW), the answering machine announces a number.

4 Press (SET/REC). The remote ID code (security code) is set,and you hear a long confirmation beep.

To change the remote ID code(security code), Enter a new remote ID code (security code). The new code will replace the old one.

Note: If a powerinterruption occurs, the remote ID code will not be erased.

If the machine won't go past 4 rings (which it should somewhere in the answering machine settings menu) you could always change your greeting to a message that tells the caller to wait a few more moments for you to answer, while you get to the phone....
