T60 IBM laptop keyboard pointer - touchpad. REMOVE the BAD Battery

I was looking here for a solid answer for Why my T60 IBM laptop was freezing up ( anytime I touched the pad or the pointer on the keyboard )

And I found that with the battery removed And the A'C charger plugged in, my problem was fixed. The battery was not any good ...

I wanted to share that - as I had done every conceivable thing as far as upgrades and had no luck until now. It worked.

Touchpad cursor freezes frequently

This sounds like a ram memory issue, sub out the ram stick one at a time, no change, take out the second piece and replace the first, if the problem goes away it is the ram stick in your hand that needs to be replaced.

When i insert new Ram in IbM r51 its getting restart automatically blue screen appear before restart

The problem is the RAM you inserted into the computer. Your laptop supports DDR PC2700. It will not work with DDR2 or DDR3. If it is not, you will need to get a different type of memory. If you have used the correct type of memory and it is inserted snugly, it is likely the RAM is defective, and you should return it.

Computer is TOOOO SLOW

probably due to all of the stuff in your startup folder a new pc comes with. the less stuff in your startup the better. you may need a memory upgrade of 1GB or less. I would go at least to 2GB of RAM
