Question about Sennheiser MXW1 Wireless Headphones

Open Question

Sennheiser MX W1 Wireless ear bud music breaking off.

I have recently purchased the Sennheiser MX W1 wireless headsets. The problem is that after a few days the music keeps getting broken up the moment i hold it in my hands, put it in my pocket or just walks with it. The slightest motion seems to disconnect the sound for a few seconds, which is really annoying. I have tried to reset the connection adapter but to no avail. Can somebody please help me as I can't seem to find any Help or Support email from sennheiser.com

Thanx

SOURCE: Sennheiser RS120 with noise...

Couple of things could be going on..

Try the obvious first

1. Select a different channel on the base unit: Located on the front, under the logo is a small switch. Note the position and try the other two settings
2. Make sure your base unit is not next to other items that may interfere with it.. cordless phones and wireless network routers etc.. microwaves or other RF sources .. fluorescent lamps.. etc

Lastly.. just about all wireless headphones have some noise or background hiss.. but it should be minor.. if the rechargeable batteries are not taking a full charge or cannot retain the charge properly.. the reception will also weaken.. and that noise will increase.. and the reception distance will decrease.

You can buy a new set of rechargeable batteries .. just make sure they are exactly like those in your headphones..

If I remember right.. they are Nickel Metal Hydride… (NiMH).. Radio Shack will have them.. or a store like Batteries Plus.. If you replace them.. go for a slightly beefier battery.. a higher mA-h.. may take a bit longer to charge initially.. (If you try this.. remember.. they will need to charge overnight before use) but will “play” longer in use.

It has been noted that many of these headphones shipped with inferior batteries.. that problems seems to have been addressed by the mfg.

Good Luck!

Connect sony dr-tn200 bluetooth headset to samsung mx-h620 hifi

Bluetooth is a short-range (33 feet/10 meters) wireless technology that allows two Bluetooth-enabled devices to connect wirelessly and communicate between them. If your son's Samsung MX-H620 HIFI is not Bluetooth-enabled, the two devices will not be able to connect in any way. If the headset were corded (it is not because it is Bluetooth) you could plug its cord into the headphone (LINE/AUX IN) jack on the Samsung. if the Samsung system is not Bluetooth, the only option is to find a suitable Bluetooth adapter to make it Bluetooth-enabled. However, you can use the Sony headset to listen to music or make phone calls from Bluetooth-enabled devices that you own such as phone, tablet, iPod, iPad.

How to replace ear pads?

If you use a headset frequently, it's important to change the ear cushion periodically. Ear cushions absorb a lot of sweat, dirt and makeup and can breed bacteria if not cleaned or replaced as necessary. This can lead to bacterial ear infections in extreme cases. Repeated and frequent use can also cause foam ear cushion to deteriorate and break into pieces over time.

Some Headphones have an inherent hiss noise when they are connected to my wireless sennheiser EK 300 IEM G3 receiver. It seems to be a problem particularly with high-end IEMs which are highly sensitive...

Hiss is a problem of statistical noise in electronic devices due to the laws of physics plus circuit design.

One thing to do is to improve the signal to noise ratio (SNR) by properly setting gains. It is POSSIBLE that the IEM's you are using are too low impedance for the receivers resulting in you having to use excessive gain at the receiver. Your receiver gain control should not have to be above 60% of the way up. If you are above that, the ear buds are probably lower impedance than the receiver is designed for... and remember the manufacturer will LIE on the capability of the thing they are trying to sell.

The receiver is speced at 32 ohm drive... IF your ear buds are less than that impedance, they are NOT suitable. Conversely if they are too high, thaat will ALSO cause you to turn up the receiver gain too much and result in poor SNR.

You want to make sure the transmitter is being driven at line level so receivers get adequate input audio so gain doesn't have to be run too high.

In recent days my headset (590A) has only been transmitting sound on the right ear via bluetooth connection, when I use the 3.5mm jack (connected to left ear) both ears work. Is there a fix for...

Your headset can be used as stereo headphones or a wireless microphone for a bluetooth enabled device like a cell phone or a computer. When you plug the headphones into a device with the 3.5mm jack the headset automatically turns into stereo headphones and disables the microphone(headphone mode). It sounds like whatever device your headset is connected to via bluetooth is using the wireless microphone protocol where sound only comes through the one speaker and the microphone is on(microphone mode). The bluetooth protocol settings of your device may have been changed accidentally. You will need to go into the bluettoth settings of your device you are using with your headset and change the protocol. If it is a cell phone you will need to go into the bluetooth settings in the settings menu. If it is a computer your can adjust the bluetooth settings in the control panel.

You can download the pdf file of your instruction manual for your headset here

I hope this was helpful and let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for using FixYa
