Apple lap to screen shaking

Your screen, battery, or iPhone may be inoperable. I would go to an Apple store to have them run a diagnostic on the device.

get a reg. computer mouse plug in your port then go to start then go to programs and files tool bar put the mouse in you will see 2 mouses go to your lap top mouse click on now change settings around then restart laptop.

you just need to have it replaced by apple. (or an apple store) just go onto the apple site and type in the search box "store finder". at the bottom of the page click the "site map" and scroll to "support." when you find it look through the links and click "request a repair." after that you just need to request a screen repair.

If you are going to try and get it fixed at an apple store, then you just need to find a store near you. (i recommend google maps.) just walk in and ask an apple store clerk about repairs. hope this helps!

Possible solution: Click "System Preferences" in the Apple menu in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Click "Expose' & Spaces". It was called "Dashboard and Expose'" in previous OS versions.

Look at the Expose' section. If you see anything about a mouse button next to "Show Desktop", click on it and change it to "-" (dash). I'm guessing this feature is mapped to one of your mouse buttons, such as the middle button. Clear that, and you won't be triggering it accidentally.

If you want to use a mouse with your laptop, find the preference that ignores the trackpad when the mouse is present. Go to System Preferences in the Apple menu (upper left corner of screen). Click Keyboard and Mouse" or Trackpad (depending on what you see). Un-check the option that says something like "Ignore the trackpad when the mouse is present."

(I don't see it in anymore 10.6, which won't run on your PowerBook anyway.)

Chances are that the mouse is just drifting a bit. like, it's sitting still on the desk and the pointer starts moving on it's own on the screen. It's caused by dust getting on the optical receiver and drifting around on it. By no means is it a ghost though.

Some laptops have a key sequence to activate or disable the onboard touchpad.
Look for Fn+F8(or another combination) the key should have a mouse symbol on it.
