In my above solution there is a segment that reads "of the back of the E" which should be "at the back of the "E"".

Krups blender switch lights, but motor doesn't turn

Hi I take it that the bottom was not screwed tight when the milk spilled. Try unscrewing the bottom, take it apart and clean it in warm water and mild washing liquid . Put it together again and screw tightly. And off it should go.

Krups espresso machine pumps water out not through nozzle

Chances are that the input and or output tubes within base of machine are clogged, If running vinegar with water does not help. With some patients and small screwdrivers, remove base and tubes to clean. Be sure machine is unpluged. Also be sure heating element is working in base.

I just got a brand-new Krups F203 grinder. I was grinding up a whole bunch of coffee at once and at about the fourth cup of grounds, while the button was still pressed down, it just shut off. And now it...

You may really have overheated it and it may not have a self resetting thermal fuse. Probably best you say nothing and take it back for repair or replacement under guarantee. When you are up and running again do much less grinding at one time.

Frother not turning on though there is power to the base

just wanted to comment on the issue with the Aeroccino when it stops working. As has been mentioned, Nespresso stated in the past that perhaps moisture (water) had gotten into the bottom of the frother and that might have been the reason it had stoped working. This was not my problem---I was very diligent in preventing ANY moisture entering the unit. But Nespresso has finally acknowledged the real issue. This is Nespresso's partial reply to my query: "Another possible cause for the Aeroccino to not turn on is the result of the Aeroccino jug being stored on the Base. The base does not have an on/off switch; therefore it is drawing full power at all times when plugged-in. If the Aeroccino jug is stored on a plugged-in base it can short-circuit. Once this has occurred there is no troubleshooting that will alleviate the issue, and replacement is the only option." There you have it. Mine would turn on for a several seconds, and merely warm the milk, instead of frothing it. I guess it took us 9 months to short-circuit it. Luckily ours is still under warranty, so a replacement is being shipped. Good luck to all of you with the same problem...I hope you are still under warranty. For those of you with a working Aeroccino: Don't leave the base plugged-in when not using the unit.

Krups blender drive gear

Ed,

The problem I had was removing the grey rubber drive. The solution is that it screws off not pops off. The trick is to use narrow needle nose pliers to grab the post that attaches to the motor and turn the rubber drive counter clockwise. Removing the motor becomes easy. Pull out the 4 rubber feet under the base and the screws will be exposed. However my situation was the grey drive gear was stripped and would bottom out. My solution was to use a same size lock washer as the washer between the post and the drive. So far so good! If it fails I will need to buy another grey drive. Myron

There are four slots in the bottom through which you can see the attachment clips. These clips are not mounted on the base but clip into the base. There is a special 4 prong tool that is used to depress these but if you don't have one, which you most certainly will not have, you need to use four small nails to open it up. Looking at them from the bottom, the clips look like a capital E with an extra horizontal leg. try to drive your nails in to the middle of the back of the E, that is on the flat side. After you have done this use a claw hammer to pry the bottom off by inserting the claws into the seam between the bottom and the top and twisting until something gives. You will probably get the bottom off without destroying more than one of the clips. No matter, you can tape or glue the ****** back together.

If power lose was your problem, remove the switch from its clip then test it to see if depressing the button causes the contact rod to touch both of the copper plates which are mounted on opposite sides of the switch, be careful while making this test - you have to have the grinder plugged in and you do not want to be touching any electrical contacts, the blade or the motor. Also beware of the torque from the motor causing you to drop the grinder. Also, beware of the torque from the motor causing you to drop the grinder in the unlikely event that it is working.

If depressing the switch doesn't cause the switch shaft to come in contact with both plates then get a pair of plyers and bend the copper plates down so that contact can be readily be made.

Retest to confirm the fix works then reassemble, using tape, glue or whatever and then -- it's coffee time!!
