How do you reset the thermostats on the rancilio?

Safety thermostat for rancilio silvia is on the boiler and has a red button on top.Press this button down and you should be ok.
Other thermostats cannot be reset - just replaced.

If the boiler temperature exceeds 165 degrees Celsius, this thermostat will trip, cutting power off from the element. This is done to try to prevent element damage due to overheating.

How does a chemical foamer work?

It is activated by contact with the air. It is in liquid form and is sprayed out into the air and it starts to catalyze and forms foam.

My Rancilio Silvia won't pump water out of the head all of a sudden. It had worked for years up to this point

It may be that the 'shower screen' which is a perforated metal disk filter that fits inside the head has reached its use by date.
These can be found and bought on E-bay for about $15 each, make sure you buy a genuine Rancilio replacement, while you are at it, replace the rubber 'group seal' - a rubber ring for pressure sealing the head/arm after filling the arm with grounds - these are a similar price. If you get leaks around the head while making a coffee, the seal is worn out.

I have an ascaso uno coffeemachnine. The milk foamer is leaking when the water should go through the coffee piston. I think that there is something wrong with the milk foamer. Is there a solution?

The steam valve is leaking, you may need to rebuild it or possibly get a new one, if you're not very mechanical find somebody who is, instead of shipping it out.

I was just given a rancilio audrey and a matching rancilio grinder. However no water is coming through the group heaed, just steam. I can't make coffee! The pump hums quietly and sounds like it is running...

Remove the shower screen and screw from the head, make sure screen is clean and run head without screen in place, if you get a good flow, problem on screen, if not then problem is on the inside of the machine between top of the head and pump. You can try descaling the machine.

I have a Rancilio Techna DE two head expresso machine. I need to change the gasket for the head. Water is leaking around the head. How do I change the gasket?

Easiest way is to remove the screw and screen, then using an Awl or ice pick, at a 45° angle, force it into the gasket and lift, leverage will do the rest, and it will most likely come out in chunks. After it is removed clean area to make sure there is no small pieces then insert new gasket.

Foam stopped working on my Kirby shampooer

You need to check that the little round screen is in the hole where the hose attaches to the shampoo tank. My guess is that the little round screen is wedged sideways in the end of the hose.
