SOURCE: mute voices on acer for karaoke singing

Hi There,
There are several audio programs out there that will mute vocals from songs for you, though these programs are fairly expensive and not justifiable if only using one feature.
Your best bet would be to buy the music pre-muted, also known as "instrumentals". Check itunes for your favourite songs as instrumentals.

Many of the Singing Machine Karaoke system manuals are available on the company's support site: http://www.singingmachine.com/support/instruction_manual.php . I just received a GPX JM250S Karaoke Party Machine. I have not tried a actual Karaoke CD yet. I plugged ipod in. Problem is- music is playing, then when I speak into mic music stops playing. There is no...

The music to sing along with apparently MUST come from a disk played on the unit. It appears that the external audio jacks are just to use the unit as either a boombox or to drive a larger sound system. You will have to convert your IPOD music into a Karaoke compatible CD to be able to sing along with it... They probably detect MIC input and mute any incoming signals from the RCA jack inputs,

I use a laptop,an external hardrive, and a mixer amp what is the best way to record some one singing on my karaoke to be able to burn it to disc for them to keep?Do you have any karaoke experts.....

I would suggest you to use a headset (without mic) and play the karaoke for them so that they can listen the music through the headphone while they sing. Connect the mic on the mic plug on your computer and record the songs they are singing with rhythm of the karaoke using an audio editor like Audacity or Adobe Audition and similar softwares. Suppose if you play the karaoke on your speaker, then the music will be heard from the mic and it'll be mixed up with the songs he/she is singing. For best result, Record the sound/songs and save it as different file and mixdown the karaoke file with it later. Otherwise, you'll not be able to get good songs. Please let me know if you need further help.
Good luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

2-second delay with Magic Sing

i bought et18k. just the same as yours.its 2 days old and has the same problem. the technical assistant says that its because of the digital setting that new tvs have. there are two ways to solve this though:

1. connect the video (yellow plug) to the tv. and the other two plugs (yellow and white) to the stereo. when i say stereo, its not the dvd home theater system that you have but a separate one. if you connect it to the home theater that you have, it'll just sound the same, you still have the delay.

2. connect the magic sing to the older tvs hangin out. and you'll get no problem at all.

**TVs such as sony, samsung, philips, sharp and all plasma tvs including other newly designed tvs will have the delay since they all share the HDMI thingy that causes sh*t.
