Question about Garden
It starts but when i release start button it kills
What type and brand of engine does it Have? A "Ford" style of ignition uses a bypass solenoid, meaning the mount is ground, the s post, usually the left looking straight at it, engages the solenoid, and the right sends 12 volts to the ignition for a hotter starting spark. When the engine does what you describe, it usually means the ignition is not getting voltage from the ignition switch to the coils. I will need more info or pictures to go further.

It sounds like the ignition switch is bad or the wire to the run terminal on the switch is broke.
The ignition switch is hot on both the Start and Run terminals. Sounds like the Run side is dead.
