Remove window crank

Look and see if there appears to be a plug in the handle over the shaft. If there is gently pry it out and you will find a hex head screw in the handle that is holding the handle on. IN all cars it is about 50-50 between circlips and bolts.

How to get the window handle off a 1986 S-10 right passenger door.

theres a tool for this at an auto part store.

i know on most chevy vehicles it is a clip that you *could* get off with a small flat screwdriver.

to locate the clip, push inward on the door panel near the window crank. rotate the crank slowly and you should see the clip. its just like a bent paperclip holding it in place. however the tool is a lot easier than a screwdriver to use, and the screwdriver may damage the door panel.

once you remove the clip, pull on the handle, you may need to pry on it a bit, around the base, as it is plastic on a splined shaft.

Attempted to update a single level "diamond" ball shower handle for an older Delta 600 series. Everthing seemed to go well, but when I turned the water supply back on, and when the handle was pointed...

On a single lever shower handle, when the handle is pointing straight down the water is off. The handle will then rotate 270 degrees to the right through cold - warm - hot. What has happened is when you took the other handle off the new handle didn't go into the same position as the old one. So now when the handle stops at the down position the valve is still open probable running cold water. The fix is to take the handle back off. Rotate the valve into the off position so that water stops flowing and reinstall the handle pointing down. Now when you rotate the handle to the right you will get cold then warm then hot at 270 degrees and back to off when the handle is pointing back straight down. If you are still having problems please let me know and we will examine it a little closer.

I need to take off the drivers inside door panle?

I think....
the crank handle is held in with a U shaped clip. Take a flat head screw driver and pry open the gap between the crank handle and the door panel. look in this gap and you will see the clip. Take another screw driver and from the end of the clip pop it off the crank handle. (you may have to rotate the crank handle to find the end of the clip). Another way is to put panty hose or a thin rang into the gap and rotate the crank handle, it will pick up the end of the clip and pop it off. (note: photo is from a different vehicle, but application is the same.) HTH

Armature is turning much slower than blot connected to shaft on motor of an E1-100-D Generator.

DO NOT turn the gen. on any more...you might damage the crank or worse..
hold the crank still by pulling the starting handle and tightening it to one of the red bars(the point of this is to restrict crank movement...you can try anything as long as the crank stays still) then rotate the armature (you might need to dislocate the stator for that purpose).if it got rotated then your crank is fine...and the problem is either with the screw that holds the armature or the armature's screw hole.
that is if the armature rotated easily...if you felt or heard weird things while spinning...then am afraid something inside the engine is damaged..but if the engine is running fine then the last idea mostlikely is not whats wrong.

Flat tire

Ford's spares are held in place with a cable that's loosened by inserting the jack handle into the cable crank. it's located below the door sill of the rear door. Look for a hole that the jack handle can be inserted and turn counterclockwise. The tire should lower down for you.

How do I remove the door panel on a 2000 Cavalier?

there is a tool for that, you can get it fairly cheap at most auto parts stores. there is a clip that snaps into the crank. you can do it without the tool. push in on the door panel around the crank handle and look behind the base of the handle. you will see a slot. you should see something silver in that slot. that is the "U" shaped clip. Rotate the handle until you see the ends of that clip. push on the ends of the clip with two flat head screw drivers (or the special tool)and it wil pop off. then you can pull the handle off.

I need to replace the window crank handle (manual)

You need to remove a horsehoe shape clip behind the handle. Look at the new one, there should be a groove that it snaps into. You can purchase a special tool that slides behind the crank handle and pushes the clip out (only costs a few bucks at parts store), or if u are patient and careful, a couple of small flat screwdrivers placed behind the window crank, u can (but it's tricky) push the clip off. Another method is a piece of wire bent at one end w/ a hook, slide in and hook the closed end of horsehoe clip. good luck! and yes control that brute strength! countrycurt0
