Can I just fill a car battery with battery acid or do I have to add water too?

Under normal operating conditions you should not need to add any acid at all. If the battery still has a charge then you should be only using distilled or deionized water. This should be added back up to the levels indicated.
If you must add electrolyte (for example the battery has tipped and the fluid loss is substantial) you should go to auto parts store to purchase proper electrolytic solution. Of course if you have some and you want to top off the battery thee is no harm in it. The battery should never have been empty in any case and after adding fluid an equilization charge should be given (This is an increased voltage charge, usually 14.4 volts, for about 15 minutes reverting to 13.6volts which is an average chargers rating. A smart charger usually has a setting on it for conditioning or similar that does the same thing. Regardless the battery should be charged even if in the vehicle running for a while it should be done right away for a little while to ensure chemical leveling.

Hope any of that rambling helps..

Radiator and adding water.

If you are adding coolant/water every week and there are no external leaks, you are probably burning the coolant thru the engine.
You can burn a large amount and not see any smoke from the exhaust pipe. Possible head gasket or cracked head.

I have a 2001 sonoma got hot steam came out driver side wont hold water now runs out somewhere on drivers side cant see where can u help

It could be a corroded core plug, it could be a corroded head gasket, it could a split radiator hose. It could be a cracked radiator or the end tank. or it could also be worse- a cracked engine block.

You or someone will need to crawl under with a light source and look at what they can see- no need to add water while under initially. Use a battery powered light if it is wet under vehicle or while adding water and keep electric cords well away from anywhere wet to avoid electrocution. Only add water if no problem are spotted initially.

I have a high efficiency top loading washer. After I add bleach to the top bleach place, should I rinse it down with a cup of water? Or will that cause problems by adding too much water or something?

Hello,

Adding water to rinse should not cause any problems the machine does measure the water coming in by a different means but 1 cup of water will make no difference, a small variable water amount is built in to the water level measuring system.

Have misplaced instructions - do you add water before plugging in, if so how much and where do you add the water?

> problems with the Web Site
> do you add water before plugging in

Usually, water is BAD for computers, and for web sites.

Anyway, it's always most SAFE to add water _BEFORE_ adding electrical power.

Battery died, tried to jump it, battery completely dry, would that prevent all electrical response at all ? even with a charger hooked up to it ? All fuses are good.

Yes, if the battery is completely dry, usually it's shot. You can try adding distilled water. Do not add electrolyte. Put a charger on it and see if it will take and hold a charge. Usually they won't but it's worth a try. Good Luck

Jaguar 2002 s-type battery keeps losing power

You can add some life to your battery by opening it and adding some water. it gives the battery some short term life, but not very reliable, the best way is to install a new battery.
