How do I program a GE Relocatable Power Tap EMP700UL-MT

TIMER INSTRUCTIONS:

When the timer is plugged in, the timer's dial will turn clockwise. The pointer, on the face of the dial, points to the current time of day.

1. Locate the segments on the outer edges of the timer's dial. These segments, each representing 30 minutes, can be pushed down (try using the tip of a pen or pencil). Conversely, segments pushed down can be easily pushed back by hand. Be sure all segments are pushed up before programming. Select a time period (or periods) you want the device turned on, push down the segments that fall on or within that time period. For example, to have the timer turn a device on 10PM and off at 2AM, push down the segments representing 10PM and 2AM, and ALL the segments in between. See Figure 1.You may need to turn the dial clockwise to access the desired segments.

2. Rotate the timer's dial clockwise until the pointer on the face of the dial points to the current time of the day. Note: Nighttime hours (from 6:30PM to 6:30AM) are highlighted.

3. Plug the timer into an electrical outlet convenient to the device to be controlled.

4. Plug the device into an outlet on the timer. Turn the device's switch to the on position for automatic control. The timer will not turn the device on if the device's switch is in the off position. The device will now turn on and off at the times you have set. In case of power failure, reset the time of the day as explained in step 2.

I just replaced my filters and turned on the power and now I get nothing?

More information is needed.
Question posted under Intermatic T101 120Volt timer. Timer model number appears on inside of timer door. Add a comment any time and it sends email and I will respond.

Open following link for Intermatic timer troubleshoot walk-thru:
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-troubleshoot-Intermatic-timer.html

When you turned off power, did you turn off circuit breaker? Or turn off manual override on timer?
If circuit breaker is turned on, does the timer dial rotate?
If timer dial rotates and keeps good time, then electricity to timer is good, timer clock motor is good.
If dial is rotating, what happens when you move override lever back and forth? Does load turn on?
Read through troubleshoot on link above and then add a comment with more details if needed.

How do I set my Hager timer EH711 to on at 7pm and off at 7am

Resourceful do-it-yourselfer will find following information helpful for solving problem.
Max Load 1000Watts incandescent
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-program-Hagar-timer.html#700-series
Manual uses several languages including English
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Hager-EH711-Timer.pdf

Hagar 700 series analog timer has mechanical dial that rotates as time passes.
Segments located on outer edge of dial are moved down-and-out, or up-and-inward to set on-off times.
As dial rotates, segments move lever that turns Load on-off.

With segment timers, all consecutive segments between on and off times have to be pushed in place.
Since EH700 series timer has NO NC terminals, segment position is determined by how timer was wired.
This is because segments-in and segments-out turn different terminals ON.

As a result, the best way to set this timer is to push 10 consecutive segments down-and-out.
Leave rest of segments up-and-inward.
Then manually rotate timer dial to watch when Load turns on-off.

Hagar analog timers also have a switch located in bottom right.
This is the manual override switch.
Set switch in position "I" and then rotate timer dial to watch when Load turns of-off.
Set switch in position "O" and then rotate timer dial again to watch when Load turns of-off.

Manually rotating dial and experimenting with segments and switch will tell resourceful do-it-yourselfer exactly how to set timer.
Once segments and switch are set, then rotate timer hands until current time shows on analog dial face.

This unit (WH21) was installed 1 mth. ago. This is my second unit I've installed with the first being for a friend and his has "NO ISSUES". In the last week mine the second unit has failed to...

You probably have defective timer.
I test timers, and some timers arrive defective.
I have not tested WH21, so check with your friend about the indicator light.

Mechanical dial timers make audible noise, and dial should rotate as time passes and keep exact time. If dial is not rotating correctly on new timer, then something is not working correctly. The level of timer is not an issue. It sounds like the motor gear is not engaging with dial.
To test timer noise, click manual override lever. You will hear same noise each time timer turns on-off.

WH21 is SPST 21amp timer which turns off one hot wire to water heater.
WH21 is rated to work on 4500Watt 18.75 amp water heater. Or smaller wattage.
Check label on side of water heater for wattage. WH21 is not rated for 5500Watt water heater.

There are many water heater timers:
Electronic timers give more precise time control and option for shorter on-off periods.
Electronic timers are quieter and don't need to be reset after power outage.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Boxtype.html

More expensive Intermatic WH40 timer is rated for greater capacity, and has replacement motors and trippers. WH40 is noisy too, but will last for years. WH40 is SPDT so it turns off both hot wires to water heater. I prefer SPDT, and have tested WH40 and other timers shown on link above.

Hpm 24 hr manual timer , i dont know how to get it working

HPM 24 hour timer has segments located around dial.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#HPM-dial

http://waterheatertimer.org/images/hpm-24hr-timer-500.jpg

Segments appear to move up or down.
Other similar timers: Segments down = Load ON; Segments up = Load OFF
Press several segments down.
Plug timer into wall.
Plug 240Volt load into timer.
Manually rotate timer dial clockwise to see if segments down turn load on or off.

There is also a 2-position slide-switch located on top of timer.
Move slide switch to each position to see which is need for timer to turn load on-off.

After positions are defined, push segments down or leave segments up for times you want load to turn on.
Rotate dial clockwise until current time lines up with arrowhead located on inner dial.
Timer dial rotates as time passes, and segments move a plastic lever that turns load on and off

How do you program a Tork 602A timer? I can't get mine to cycle on and off at a desired time.

The Tork 602A mechanical outdoor timer with 2 grounded outlets.
Tork 601A and 602A manual
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Tork-601A-Manual.pdf
Manual has images of timer that will help.

Plug timer into outdoor outlet.
To set current time, rotate dial clockwise until current time lines up with arrowhead located on inner dial.
Dial is divided into light and dark sections that represent day or nighttime hours.
Reset time after power outage.

96 pins located around timer dial are used to set on-off times.
Each pin represents 15 minutes in 24 hour day
Move pins in-or-out with fingernail or ink pen to set timer on-off functions.
With Tork timers, usually when pins are out, timer is ON.
When pins are in, timer is OFF.
To double-check pin setting, manually rotate timer to watch when lights turn on-off.

Set multiple ON/OFFs each day.
Change on-off times by resetting a pin or two.
Timer repeats every 24-hours.

Manual ON/TIMER switch is located on inner dial.

Set Manual switch to TIMER for programs to operate.
To override time and turn on Load, move override to ON position.

We need clear instructions for setting the timer

Woods makes several outdoor timers:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html

Image that shows with this post is Woods model #49647.
Below are instructions for #49647 timer.

If your timer is different, add a comment with model number and I'll post instructions for that timer.

Woods model #49647 is outdoor timer with photoelectric control that turns timer ON at dusk.
There are 4 possible settings that show on dial.
Rotate dial to make timer selection.
OFF = timer is OFF full-time until you change dial.
ON = timer is ON full-time until you change dial.
Dusk-Dawn = timer turns ON at dusk and OFF at dawn
2, 4, 6, 8 hours = timer turns ON at dusk, and turns OFF 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours later.

Washing machine doesn`t change cycles. I can turn the dial manually and go from cycle to cycle with all working fine but if I don`t turn the dial it will stay on cycle for ever! This is an old machine and...

From storage, the timer probably has some corrosion on it, so perhaps you can just turn the dial several times around to clear the contacts inside the timer. There is a motor on the timer that may also be bad. If you can access the time in any way, i.e. opening the head, you can see if that motor is spinning. If you need to replace the timer, you may be better off getting another machine as it may not be easy to find it
