There is a small button at the bottom edge of the blade, push it in and at the same time push the blade teeth away from the clipper. The blade will hinge away from the clipper, you then lift the blade up off the tongue. When fitting another blade pop it onto the tongue, turn the clipper on and snap the blade shut.
it could be metal fatigue from the blade. Try a different blade and see if it does the same. If it is still rattling it could be your blade drive needs to be replaced. Sometimes the screws that hold the blade drive in place come lose or striped so you may need to check them.
Hi A5 blades are not made to be unscrewed. They are snap on blades. You can call 800-830-3678 which is Oster Direct consumer service. They will walk you though the process or you can send them back to Oster and they will put them back together and realign them for you. Hope that helps.
Have you been oiling the blades? If you ran out of oil you can use any light machine oil available at any hardware store. If you feel comfortable opening the unit you will be able to see the electromagnet inside and watch what is going on. If all else fails Buy a new set (the exact kind) and keep the receipt. Swap them out and return it from the store where you purchased it. You paid good money for them and they should not have died so quickly. The store will get full credit for it when they return it to the manufacturer so it is not that morally bad. The manufacturer should bare the burden because of the poor quality control that allowed your clipper to die in such a short period of time. Hope you find this solution helpful and the last option is a surefire fix... George
