SOURCE: Alpine CDA-9886 error 1

If your head unit in Ipod mode reads "error 01" followed by "searching", remove your Ipod from the connector and let the battery run out. Once the battery runs out, hook your Ipod up to your computer for charging and launch your Itunes when your battery regains some power. Your Ipod will then be detected by your Itunes and your good to go again to hook up to your Alpine head unit. This fix worked for me as the "error 01" and freezing has only happened once to me.

It is really a preference. Try increasing, then decreasing each on the type of music you listen to and experiment untill it sounds good to you. It will also depend on the abilities of your speakers.

you need to reset the sirius alpine adapter, just remuve the positive (red) from battery terminal under the hood for 2 mins, or find the yellow power wire from the adaptor and disconec for 1 min.

I just hooked up a a cda 9886 in my car and know my subs dont work do you know what the problem could be

Your subwoofer is probably off. You have to put it on. I think you have to push the button all the way on the right that says imprint or sound setup and then dial the rotary to subwoofer and there is an adjustment or a level. You choose the one that is not level and select it then on or off. It is easy once you figure it out.

The Alpine CDA-9886 is Bluetooth ready but requires an adapter such as Alpine's KCE-400BT or a generic adapter in order to pair with a phone.

Hope this helps.

Getting my i-pod to play on my stereo

Does you deck have the Ipod Ready function print on it? It might not come with the option. If it does then just take it to a local stereo shop for advice, it should not cost any money. Goodluck.
