Mitsubishi ws55807 Was working perfectly. Turned it on tonight. The green power light comes on and stays on. Tubes in the back are lit. I have no picture and no sound. Any ideas?

Your TV was waiting between 2000 and now to suffer power supply failure. It is very frustrating to go from everything working perfectly to nothing.

you may have purchased a cheep lamp it has gone bad allready

Behind the screen, there are three color tubes: Red Green and Blue.

Unfortunately, rear projection screens often have these problems and the tubes do go out after extended use.

Take the television to a TV Repair shop to have this fixed. But in the long run, this may end up costing you a lot more than if you would purchase a new TV. The light tubes are fairly expensive.

I have a 3 yr old 55 inch mitsubishi TV and when I turn it on the green light starts flashing and I must reset the TV about four times before it finally comes on has anyone had this problem if so what solution did you have?

try holding in the menu and input buttons together on the front panel for about 8 seconds to see if the self diagnosis feature will blink a two digt code then let me know what happens

If the screen is lit, then there is high voltage. If there is no video, and the screen is lit, then there is a loss of video. The fault can be anywhere along the main video path before it gets decoded in to the red, blue, and green compositions.

If the screen is not lit, most likely there is a high voltage failure, or there is a failure in the bias supply for the tubes.

When there is a loss of high voltage, this can be from any of the components in the high voltage area. Some of the main things that go defective are the flyback, high voltage multiplier, and various other small components.

Have you considered to replace the set with a good Plama or LCD set? This repair may end up being on the expensive side.

remove crt board one at a time,when set comes on and stays on then that tube is shorted, try red first.CRT on NECK of tube!
