Question about Cell Phones
My phone's screen froze only displaying Nokia. The phone can not even switch off and since it is a sealed unit you cannot remove the battery.
Perform a soft reset if possible, but you will likely need to do a factory reset to resolve the issue long term.
For a soft reset, hold down the Volume Down and Power Button at the same time until the phone vibrates and resets.
To perform a full reset (DELETES ALL DATA! Use with caution!), ensure that the phone is not plugged into the charger. Hold down the Volume Down button and while holding it down, plug in the charger. If all goes well, the phone will display a exclamation point on the screen, at which point you need to enter the secret code to perform the full reset: Volume Up, Volume Down, Power, Volume Down.

Ok, here's what I did. I followed this video on Youtube (it says 6280, it works exactly the same with 6288)to disassemble my 6288 (same problem, backlight on the display wouldn't work most of the time) and I finally found there was some leeway on the metal housing that keeps the display in place (so you only need to take out the display over to sort this out). I solved it by putting some bent paper on top of the lower left corner of the metal housing and putting the front cover back in place. Now it gives me no problem at all. I hope this will help you too.
And, to all of those talking about bringing it to the repairman... come on, 6288 disassembly is quite simple (you don't even need the Torx screwdrivers but to get the main board out). Don't make it something more difficult that it is.

Your Phone software is Hang , and stuck it some time due to the loads of applications and msgs stored in cell phone , take out the mobile battery and re-insert , On your cell phone now check if you find the same problem , then you have to format your cell phone

your phone software crashes or corrupted. we can do nothing about it unless we have a special gadget used to fix mobile phones and buying it cost so much for that purpose only.
To save time and money, I recommend to have it reformat at your nearest service center or dealer if it still has the warranty or to trusted mobile phone repair shop.
Hope I helped you in some other ways.
Don't forget to rate me. Thanks...
