Unfortunately, your impression regarding a soldering iron or solder gun is accurate. You would need to get into the keyboard's internals and ensure an electrical connection between the inside and the battery compartment, which a glue gun will not provide.
As to keyboard hardware, a wireless keyboard will generally need a receiver that plugs into the computer. If it did not come with that, then chances are it will cost more time and effort to get the keyboard working than the cost of a new wireless keyboard.

Testimonial: "How do I test for an electrical connection? And how do I hook the wires back into the terminals?"

  • Charixfox Mar 28, 2014

Officially testing for conductivity should be performed with a multimeter. Aside from that, you can only make guesses based on whether the keyboard works or not. As for the wires back into the terminals, that is where opening the keyboard and getting to the sections is necessary, as well as usually the use of a soldering iron. A glue gun will not guarantee that the connection is made and will end up making it difficult to ensure electrical connectivity.

I just bought a new Nixon "The Banks" watch and the dial in the lower right hand corner, I believe it's suppose to be the second hand, won't work.

The Banks has three different batteries in it for each dial. The second hand battery died on it. I had the same problem and just went to a watch store and they replaced the battery for me.

Accidentally left one battery in an Apple wireless keyboard. It is stuck / corroded. Any ideas on how to remove it safely?

You'll have to pry it out gently with a flat headed screwdriver. Be very carefull not to break the contacts as you will need to clean the contacts after you have got the battery out of the keyboard.

Fine sandpaper will clean the contacts if you wrap the paper around a small flat headed screwdriver.

Negative terminal under right button corrodes and critical battery notice pops up

Use steel wool and wd 40 to clean terminal and to keep it clean, just rub a small bit of universal grease on it and replace battery. It should be fine.
