Seems thats a very old board, not much found. Is it perhaps installed into a brand name case like Dell, Compaq or other ???? might be more helpful if its used in that manner

How do i flash my motherboard

There are thousands of motherboard nomenclatures so my response is old school/new school and perhaps not specific to your motherboard.

This is very simple trick to upgrade the BIOS of your motherboard (take Award BIOS as an example).

Above all, if your computer is overclocking, you need to adjust the clock to its normal state. The next, you should disable all items of the Power Management in the BIOS, and disable the System BIOS Cacheable as well as Video BIOS Cacheable.

Then in DOS insert a formatted floppy disk to your floppy drive (possibly external), copy all system files to Disk (A :) as dictate "SYS C** A**", you also need to copy the AwardFlash utility (in the disk came with your motherboard) and the latest BIOS files (named it as newbios.bin) to Disk (A :), finally create an autoexec.bat as below:

@echo off (press Enter key)

if exist oldbios.bin goto awdflash.exe newbios.bin oldbios.bin/py/sy/cc/cp/cd/sb/rgoto (press Enter key)

I have no more gb on my pc. I want to format it. But I don't know that after that I have to reinstal window, I don't have the cd-r . I bought my pc with windows included. May You help me,...

1. Make a backup of all your "data" files & E-mail messages & E-mail address-book, by burning a few CD-writable disks.

2. Buy an external disk-storage device, and make another backup copy.
Now that your files are on two other locations (CD-R disks and this device),
you can delete the files from your computer, to free-up some disk-space.

3. Click Start.
Click All Programs
Click Accessories
Click System Tools
Click Disk Cleanup
Run it, to delete unnecessary files.

4. Look for a program on your computer that will "burn" a set of "System Restore" CD-disks.
Run it, to create a copy of those "missing" disks.

5. Telephone Samsung, and order a set of "System Restore" CD-disks.
Use those disks to reinstall Windows.

How can I format my Sony vaio laptop vgn-nw13gh with my recovery disk please show me the steps

You will need a FULL WinXP system disk (asume your system is Win) either buy a new XP CD (i doubt you will get it)
but.....
to get a pirated WinXP system disk click the foll link....before that downlaod a software called UTorrent or BitTottent....google it
the foll link will downlaod the link file of Torrent and that will help you download the full version.....believe me this works....700MB ISO file...burn on CD/DVd using any CD burner software like Nero....

http://thepiratebay.org/details.php?id=3493182
once you download the full OS from piratebay...make a CD/DVD from the ISO image file that is obtained from piratebay....boot you system using that CD....BIOS in your system must be reset to boot from CD as the 1st boot seq in BIOS....

recovery disk will not work....

Cannot install Windows XP Pro using the setup disk. I can delete the old partition and reformat the hard disk using NTFS, but when setup starts copying files it fails to copy a file (never the same file)...

It's possible that your disk-drive is "failing", and it's about to "die".

Buy a new disk-drive, connect it, and try to install to it.

Other possibilities:
* bad RAM in your computer is messing-up the file-copy operations, and the CD-reading operations
* dying motherboard is malfunctioning,
* scratched Windows CD-ROM media
* malfunctioning CD-reader device.

How can i make bios k8n-vm.rom to motherboard because i cant read from flopy this file , thank you

anaging and updating your BIOS
The following utilities allow you to manage and update the motherboard
Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) setup.
1.
ASUS EZ Flash
(Updates the BIOS using a floppy disk during POST.)
2.
ASUS AFUDOS
(Updates the BIOS in DOS mode using a bootable floppy
disk.)
3.
ASUS CrashFree BIOS 2
(Updates the BIOS using a bootable floppy
disk or the motherboard support CD when the BIOS file fails or gets
corrupted.)
4.
ASUS Update
(Updates the BIOS in Windows
®
environment.)
Refer to the corresponding sections for details on these utilities.

prepare the motherboard support CD or the floppy disk containing the updated motherboard BIOS before using this utility.
• Make sure that you rename the original or updated BIOS file in the
floppy disk to K8NVM.ROM.

Recovering the BIOS from the support CD
To recover the BIOS from the support CD:
1. Remove any floppy disk from the floppy disk drive, then turn on the
system.
2. Insert the support CD to the optical drive.
3. The utility displays the following message and automatically checks
the floppy disk for the original or updated BIOS file.
4. Restart the system after the utility completes the updating process.
DO NOT shut down or reset the system while updating the BIOS! Doing
so can cause system boot failure!

The files for my CD/DVD drive seem to some how disappear and now my computer does not do anything when I insert a disk in the drive. How can I get to work again

Hi! Your system won't detect media disc that was inserted on your optical drive - that was the problem. You actually need to delete your upper and/or upper filters to resolve this. all you need to do is to click on start - then run - type REGEDIT and press enter, a window will appear. all you need to do is to follow this address to look for the upper and lower filters: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CurrentControlSet
Control
Class
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} inside of this folder delete upper and/or lower filters.

Restart system and that should make your system read your CD media files. Thanks for visiting FixYa.com!

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt. windows root system 32 hal dll pls re install a copy of the...

Yes the hal.dll is one of the files it needs to boot up, It gets all of the hardware together..I own and ASUS and they pretty good about sending disk. Pull the disk out that came with the system. Just put it your CD and then go into Windows Explorer and look for that file. Its probably under i386 folder or Win32 folder. Once you find it then just drag it over to the c: drive and you are ready..I didn't get a cd player in mine, so you probably didn't either. I ended up buying one from Best Buy, it works really good, it's an HP.But anyway if you can copy that file over to the C: drive of your computer then you will be ok...it didn't way anything else did it> Let me know how it turn out..

System Restore

Yes you can use a disk which is used for reformatting the system just like you can reinstall the windows in your system.
It will automatically reinstall the all booting files in your system and also remove your old operating problems.

But after installing the windows in the system you you have also need to install all the Motherboard Drivers in the system. If you have a Motherboard Drivers C.D. with you...fine...But if not have a Motherboard C.D. don't afraid at all.....you can find all the available Motherboard Drivers from the Website of HP.

Gigabyte motherboard cd

You do not not need your motherboard CD to preform a format on your drive. Any windows CD. Win XP home, XP Pro, Win 2000 will format your hard drive. You can also use the hard drive's Mfg's utility disks & creat a bootable floppy disk or creat a bootable CDROM disk that will not only allow you to format the hard drive but also fun testing on the drive. You can even pick your cluster size & FAT file. Write down the name of your drive & model no#. Go to the Mfg's web site & download the utility software. Chances are Windows will have most of your boards drivers in it's data base. All you'll need to do is download from Gigabyte your missing drivers. You'll need you complete model no# & version no# if you can find it.
