My toshiba satilite L305D-S5940 Wont charge has new battery new power cord It comes on acts like its going to work then shuts off and sometimes wont come on What could it be please

Hi there,
1st : you can check from the power cable charge
2nd : check the adaptor charger if there is a light indicator or not, or you can check with multimeter to check the voltage on charger adaptor, does show the proper voltage for your laptop, you can check at the end of the connection that leads to the laptop.
note : Remember use DC current at Multimeter
3rd : if the adaptor running well, just plug on the adaptor charger to the laptop, dont turn on the laptop power, just see the light indicator with battery / lightning image on laptop, its explained that there is or is not the power current running to the laptop.
3rd.A : if its no power goes to the laptop then your adaptor charger is failed
3rd.B : if is there, there must be a problem with your motherboard, section power / power plugs, why do not want to charge with a new battery.
Conclusion :
- if the problem on number 1 & 2, then you can change the power cord and the adaptor charger.
- if there is problem on the 3rd.B then you can go to the toshiba services center for your problem.

thats all, hope its help.

Replaced distributor still no spark from coil

If there is no voltage at the ignition coil then you need to check and see if you have voltage at the EEC power relay which supplies voltage to the ignition coil and the fuel pump relay. The ignition switch applies voltage to the EEC power relay. The EEC power relay and Fuel pump relays are found together usually on the drivers side fender apron, about half way between the headlight and the firewall

AC Power Adaptor LED won't stay on to power PC

First you you should test the AC power adaptor properly, then if it is in good conditions is important to test the electric circuit in the motherboard in order to find any trouble. There is a SMD fuse between de DC power jack and the rest of the circuit.

My compaq won't turn on and nothing shows that the current is in but the adaptor works properly

When you connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED light up? If not then - The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's power socket could be faulty. Check power adapter's DC plug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltage should be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on the bottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that is printed on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the adapter is OK then connect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/battery charging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's power socket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard. This can be repaired but it requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket and repair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.

The battery is not recharging

Possible that the battery is bad or weak, the adaptor is not outputing the required voltage or is faulty or that the charging circuit is faulty in the motherboard.
In all these you need to check on the voltage incident on the battery terminals. So connect the adaptor an check the voltage at the battery terminals in the laptop, if absent check at the pins, if absent check on the adaptor circuit.
check this link;

If voltage is present then the battery is a suspect, if not the motherboard charging circuit has problems if adaptor is good and there is no charging.

HP Compaq 6710b not charging powering up laptop

You need to check the voltage on the adaptor. If there is no votlage please check on this link to check on the adaptor.

If the adaptor is good then the fault can be in teh motherboard or the charging circuit within. Please check the voltage at the pins of the battery terminals in the laptop to confirm. If so you must get support from HP to estimate.

My PC finds it difficult and sometimes impossible to recognise the attached adaptors and the monitor remains black. I tried restarting the PC and after so many times it may work properly

it is not about recognizing attached adaptors.
the real cause is the electrification center of your motherboard.(this is a common problem in gigabyte motherboards)

so if you do these your problem may disappear:
intercept all of cables of your PC case and even power cable of your monitor.
evolve battery of bios then wait for 25 minutes then connect all of cables and try turning on your PC:
1- with battery of bios
2- without battery of bios
it should work.

My nb100 doesn't turn on.. can you help me?? even if i remove the battery and i just plug the charger chord.. it still won't turn on..

Make sure the light on your ac adaptor is lit when you plug it into the wall outlet so this way you know that the ac adaptor is working properly. If you do get an led to show up then try again, if you still don't get power to the laptop then take out the hard drive and dvd drive from the laptop and try again. If you still don't get power then for sure the motherboard is bad cause that means the voltage is going thru it properly.

Remove the battery for a couple of minutes while the unit is not plugged into the a/c adaptor. Reinstall the battery, plug the unit into the a/c adaptor, and see if it will boot up.
