Question about Karcher 2500 PSI Pressure Washer

Open Question

I have a craftsman pressure washer. it sat for a year but it did start and it ran fine. then my sister borrowed it and it started but while it was running she tipped it to move it to another location and it just stopped. i've checked all fluid levels, gas, etc. and are ok . i can't start it. is there a safety breaker/fuse that automatically shuts it down and has to be reset?

I hate to tell you but the carb will need cleaning. Try draining the bowl to get the old gas out.

Good Luck it is not that hard to do.

Previous owner had way overfilled crankcase oil. Oil had gotten into carb and clogged air filter. Drained oil to correct level. Ran engine but kept cutting off-see above. Took off carb cover cleaned housing and ran without air filter-ran fine. Unsuccessfully tried to clean air filter with gas-did not work. Apparently, the engine could run just long enough to exhaust the air in the old filter and cut off which is why it would start back up after a few seconds. Bought new air filter-whole thing-about $15 at Carquest. Put in some carb cleaner and installed the new filter and it runs perfectly.

When the pull start gets locked, you have to release water pressure from the wand. I had the same problem last year.

1989 Bronco fullsize has sat for the past 6 years and wont start, will turn over, has new gas with fuel stabilizer, still no firing. Replacing spark plugs and the fuel pump are the next two steps. ...

Assuming she ran good before she sat, replacing the plugs, cap and rotor isn't a bad idea.Step 1: Make sure you have good spark. No need to worry about timing right now. Step 2: If you have spark, then we have to see if its getting gas. There are two fuel pumps on this Bronco. One in tank and one on the frame rail. Can you hear either one running? The in tank one should come on for a few minutes and shut off. The front one is harder to hear.If you hear it, borrow or rent a FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE and check your fuel pressure. There is a fitting similar to a tire valve on fuel rail. Pressure should remain constant. If either pump fails you will not get adequate fuel flow. The front pump is easy to get to for trouble-shooting. Don't buy anything unless your sure you will need it. Hope this helps.

You should be fine to take the recoil off, there shouldn't be anything that shoots out at you. You might want to check the oil level on the engine, many of the Honda engines won't start unless there is enough oil in them. If your oil level is fine, check to make sure that your motor is getting spark.

Honda gas power pressure washer runs for awhile then cuts off.

did you pour all of the old gas out before you started to use it. Sometimes condensation builds up in gas tank when stored. You need to dump old gas an put in new gas.
