Sounds like a skinned wire on your front or rear limit switches is touching metal. Go over your low voltage wiring and test again.

check the track for tight spot it will stop if it is not stright, too close or too wide also check cable or chain for dirt lubracate all

GET A COPY OF THE ADJUSTMENT INSTUCTIONS FROM THE GENIE WEB SITE - IT IS A SMALL AND SIMPLE ADJUSTMENT - BUT, IF YOU MESS IT UP THE DOOR WOULD BE UNSAFE.

IF IT IS A CRAFTSMAN / LIFTMASTER / CHAMBERLAIN IT IS A SQUARE BUTTON WITH A LITTLE LED NEXT TO IT. YOU WILL SEE AN ANTENNA WIRE HANGING DOWN, IT IS ON THAT END OF THE UNIT NEAR THE MIDDLE.
