SOURCE: My rotary screw air compressor model SSREP100H

It's just too hot. Blow out the radiator weekly. There is an oil temp switch that might need replaced but the radiator is the most common problem with screw compressors. You can check the settings in the control panel, where you turn it on and off. It should be set for a high temp of 185°.

What does alarm start fault mean on the control panel on a ingersoll rand ssr ep-30 air compressor

I use to start up a 25 HP Ingersol screw type compressor. The only alarms I got were from power spikes which just needed the reset button to be pushed, then the on button - and the low oil sensor would shut it down and give an alarm when the tank was about half way down. They will blow up with no oil so there is a saftey margin on oil level.

Excessive oil in the air tank and air filter housing (more than a pint). I would like to know which component is not working. it is a 2 year old UP6-10

it might be a cracked piston ring that is causing your problem, or the wrong viscosity oil. I would change the oil first using the right weight and check again. Another issue might be a stuck or sticking valve. Let me know if you need more assistance
