Question about Trek F600

1 Answer

I have a Trek F600 folding bike. Where can I find replacement parts?

I am looking for a place where I can order replacement parts for my Trek F600. If I can even find the measured diameter to the parts in need. Any leads you have will be helpful. I hope to get her back on the road soon. Thank you.

Depends on what parts you need. Many parts on your bike, such as the shifters, derailleurs, etc. are standard. If you are looking for specific parts for the frame and such, you will have to go to a Trek dealer. That particular bike has been out of production, so parts may be scarce.

SOURCE: I need to source new

I googled "bike spokes 178mm" and a bunch came up. Same-o for 180mm.

Google "bicycle spoke calculator" and you will find many sites that help determine the lengths.

I have a trek 5200 OCLV Series with S/N WL0044613 what year is it.

You are already on the Internet, so do some research, which is what anyone here would have to do. Contact Trek - Trek Bikes The world best bikes and cycling gear Trek Bikes , Google "Trek serial number" or Google your model and look for images that match your bike, or check BikePedia

C79t0880 what trek model is this?

Model is written in form of a decal on the frame tube. If bike has been repainted you would need multiple pics and a lot of spare time in order to identify it by going to BikePedia . Most bike shops can tell you approx. what year and perhaps model, especially if they sell Trek.

Pedal assembly for a trek navigator 100

This bike had a square-taper bottom bracket. What happens with this type is that the bolts holding them on become slightly loose over time. The crank arm begins to wobble and the "wollows" out the inner hole on the crank arm such that a new one will have to be purchased. They are about $15.

The only parts envolved are the cranl arm and the both that holds it in place.

Where do I find the serial number

TREK bicycles have the serial number on the underside of the down tube near the crankset. Flip your bike so that the wheels are up and look at the tube near the pedals (on the tube that runs towards the handlebars).

Many TREK manuals are available here: You can find a good picture of the parts of the bicycle and their names in the manual.

Some other brands of bicycles have their serial numbers on the seat tube near the crankset.

I hope this helps.

I to replace the seat post for Trek Navigator 100. Where can I find a replacement part?

Oh, any bike shop, online searches (Performance Catalog, for example). You need to know the exact diameter (embossed into the post) and length. Example 27.2 x 300mm

Trek spokes sze

I could not find the spoke size online so you should probably take a wheel to the bike shop and ask them. They should not charge you for that. Unless you REALLY know what you are doing, I do NOT recommend you tampering with the wheels of you bike. The wheels are one of the most delicate parts of a bike particularly the spokes. If you dont feel compterable altering your wheels, have the bike shop take care of it. It is easier to pay a little more for labor up front than to try it yourself, mess up and have to replace more parts than originally needed plus labor.

Broken spoke in rear wheel. What could have caused it and is a replacement simple?

I ride a Trek 6.9 and have had spokes break for no apparent reason. Most of the time the spoke will break from over tightening on initial installation or just plain fatigue. Replacing the spoke is fairly straight forward. Remove the wheel from the bike and remove the tire. Remove the protective tape on the inside of the wheel to gain access to the spoke nut. After replacing the spoke you must make sure the wheel is true. If you do not have a set up for this, reassemble the wheel with the new spoke and take the assembly to your nearest bike store. They should have the equipment to true up your wheel assembly

Need to no year make and model of trek bike bye serial number

Trek's serial numbers are on the underside of the bottom bracket. Flip the bike over and read the letters and numbers. It will look like this :

This would be a Trek 9000, made in June 1997 and number 480 off the production line.

Hope this makes sense and you can decipher your bike. Vote for me if this helps, thanks.
