Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I recently bought a used Onkyo CP1055f turntable. While in overall good shape, the automatic queuing function seems out of adjustment. When I hit play, the arm rotates over the platter 1-2 mm too far. The needle is dropping in the grooves of the first track rather than on the rim of the record. How does one adjust the trim settings on the automatic queue?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

If your needle just started to skip across the LP, then that means your stylus is damaged/worn and needs to be replaced. It's very hard to see the diamond tip on the stylus, and it might not even be there at all. So checking it might not yield any results. This is what happens when the needle is worn. It will skip across the record.

Just guessing, but it sounds like you haven't counterbalanced your tone arm. When a tone arm skips, it's usually because there's too much counter weight on the rear of the tone arm. You want between 3-5 grams, but first you have to calibrate your tone arm (balance it so you know where zero is). If you don't know how to do this, refer to the Ion directions called "Tonearm Setup" in the instructions.

More than likely it is a faulty drive IC (Integrated Circuit). If so, your out of luck, because most parts for this unit are discontinued, with the exception of the belt.
There really isn't much else you can do. Will probably cost too much to repair, if you can find someone who can repair it.
Sorry couldn't be of much more help.

Make shure that is a 50Hz turntable. If you connect a 60 Hz turntable in a 50 Hz system, the result is aprox 28 RPM in the 33 RPM position/
